Continuing the whirlwind fall - this past weekend we visited Gettysburg. We think Tali likes Gettysburg the best of us (except the drive). We got up early to see the Bullets Women’s Soccer play Saturday afternoon and it was strange being the freshman parent when just a year ago we were the senior parents emotional at Senior night. It was a beautiful day on Saturday for a tailgate and fun to meet kids, parents, coaches and Tali met lots of team dogs :-). Sunday was a downpour and Alexis and her team were out on the pitch all day for a soccer ID clinic with 45 prospects. Reese and I started with Ryan warm and cozy for coffee at President’s with Tali and then ventured an hour south to Leesburg, VA to Morven Park to watch the stadium jump final of the 2026 Open Eventing Championships. It was great to see Sharon White take the win as well as watch a host of other olympic level riders. Before heading back to Gettysburg, Reese and I visited Princess Sophie in her retirement. Over the 3 days we ate lots of good food! And Sunday night got to hang with Alexis where she and Reese piled on the bed with Tali to watch the final episode of Lasso. Sun shone Monday and we lingered as long as possible before making the 6.45 .. 7.5..8+ hour drive home :-).
