Enjoy a lap around Watkins Glen aboard the #41 Nemschoff Sports/ @metrosoundpros WTR Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

This one lap we passed 4 cars for position and went to P2 in class by the end of the race. It was a wild one for sure at one of my favorite race circuits!

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐂𝐎𝐍 𝗪𝐀𝐘⁣
⁣
I needed to take some time after our season ended before I posted. I was feeling a lot of things: 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 & 𝘴𝘢𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘧𝘶𝘭 & 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥.⁣
⁣
While I’m still feeling all of it, the 𝘫𝘰𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘦 is what has lingered the most. We asked these boys to 𝘣𝘶𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴. We asked them to 𝘰𝘸𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴. We asked them to 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺, and to approach every day the same way.⁣
⁣
We talked about what it means to 𝗪.𝐈.𝐍 (𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘕𝘰𝘸) and how to 𝘧𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘺 𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘳 👣 𝘢𝘳𝘦. And man, did they deliver.⁣
⁣
Winning is always a goal, but the true measure of 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 is your 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴. This year we took a team with very little Varsity experience, and very little outside expectation, and went 𝟏𝟗-𝟕. We not only had the 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟 of everyone on the team, but we started to see the community 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 and show up for the boys.⁣
⁣
I couldn’t be more 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭 for the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬. To our players, coaches, families, and community…𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮. The end result might not have been what we wanted, but this group was 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭, and will 𝐀𝐋𝗪𝐀𝐘𝐒 be remembered.⁣

Finished the weekend 2-0, taking home the 🏆 for the 𝟷𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘯𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘦𝘦𝘤𝘩 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭.⁣
⁣
This group is going to be good because they 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 to be good. They ask the 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, they take 𝘰𝘸𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱, they play 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦, and they 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 over themselves. ⁣
⁣
Great start to the season…but 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨. Our 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 will remain on what 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭 as we move into the beginning of conference play next week!⁣

𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.⁣
⁣
As I reflect on our season, I’m left with a few major thoughts…⁣
⁣
1️⃣ The ending stinks. But the journey of the season was one to be remembered, and I’m incredibly grateful for this team.⁣
⁣
2️⃣ It’s okay be be both sad and joyful. Sure, I’m sad that the season is over…I 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 this group. But I’m also incredibly full of 𝐣𝐨𝐲. This team 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 to be coached. They 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐢𝐧. They 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 each other. They 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 into one another. They valued the 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬. They had 𝐟𝐮𝐧. They approached each day as 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. They 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐝. So yes, I’m sad. But that cannot overshadow the 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐲 this team made me, and everyone a part of it feel on a daily basis.⁣
⁣
3️⃣ It ain’t about the wins. We got a bunch of them this season. We won three tournaments. We are County Champions. But at the end of the day, what mattered more is that they learned to believe in themselves and live out of faith. They learned to prove themselves right. They learned that their limits are far beyond what they could even imagine.⁣
⁣
𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 coaches change 𝘨𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘴. 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 coaches change 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦…and while I know I am far from perfect, I also know that I strive to be great every single day. My hope is that my presence had even a sliver of the impact that my teams presence had on me. ⁣
⁣
Thank you to the 2023 #𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 Falcons. I challenged you to play with #𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐢, and that soul was felt all season long.

The Banwart Family went 7-0 on the 💎 this weekend‼️

Perry Meridian wins the Pike Invite, and FAM 8U wins the USSSA May Mayhem.

The result is cool, but the community is better. Thankful for family, players, coaches, and friends who trust the process and are yielding the results‼️
