go ahead, “liar” is out now :)

wrote this one almost a year ago, and tried recording it 3 times before i got the right take.
it ended up being this live, solo performance in a studio in a tiny village tucked away somewhere in the netherlands on an off day while on tour.

thank you to @wouterhardy.producer (prod/mix/studio), and @knackmastering (mastering).

(Bonnie Raitt, The Avett Brothers, Aimee Mann)

Recordings mastered by Kim Rosen have earned 5 GRAMMY Awards and received 30 nominations.

Kim upgraded her mastering room to the STRAUSS ELEKTROAKUSTIK SE MF-4 with matching SE PA-100 amplification.

“They’re full-range, with a fantastic frequency response, and they’re meticulously made. They allow me to be far more specific in the way that I work.”

— Kim Rosen, quoted in Music Connection magazine’s “Masters of Mastering”

At the mastering stage, every decision becomes part of the finished record. From transient detail to low-frequency structure, the SE MF-4 and SE PA-100 provide a precise reference for evaluating the recording as a whole.

Just Like Saturday ft @rubyamanfu

Ruby, you Goddess
How lucky am I to be
Living in your time?
— #allisonrussell

I can’t build a dream again
You used to pick the pieces up
And keep ‘em ‘til we needed them
Ooh, I kept them with mine
But the rain got in and spoiled the wood
Now nothing ever feels any good

Hey, black swan, what went wrong?
Yeah, you got your fight-or-flight turned on
You don’t know how beautiful you are
Rivers of adrenaline, you just need an ocean
To run into, to comfort you
Just let me get my arms around you
