Some days pj’s are the way forward!! Getting some quick movement in before the day kicks off… nothing glamorous just me finding my way and tuning in to what I need….trying a pistol squat here and there and noticing where the work is!!🥰.

Happy weekend…💗

Been a little quiet on here…
while making some noise IRL!! 💥
...moving, teaching, living, doing my thang.

Back with a floor-to-reformer glide into plank because planks don’t have to be static to be strong. Can I get a 🙌🏼
When the body is moving, the shoulders learn how to organize, not brace.
Scapulae glide, core responds, breath finds rhythm —and suddenly planks become a fun conversation within your body, not a punishment.
Hello #playwplanks

This playful series was inspired by my dear friend @jillharrispilates
— that girl has more creativity with zero ceiling and endless curiosity in her pinky than most. Love ya, lady!💗

More movement. More intelligence. More play.
More passion in this crazy thing we call life.

Happy Friday, friends!

Making time for myself… I always avoid it unless it is in moving. I am much happier to fill my time with people, to chat and surround myself and not be on my own and sit with my thoughts. But when I take time to move and be with me … I slowly tap in to what I need and what I feel and what I think.. then I work out what I want or need without the noise of life. And today was to rid my body of Ryan Air and prepare for this amazing retreat @ezzahra.morocco .

Don’t avoid taking time out for yourself… it’s taken a long time to find a way I can….Make sure you do too…

A bit of a different start to the week - downloading my head!!

The more I grow the more I let go. The older I get the less I care what others think. It is like a massive release. Not having to worry so much about doing the wrong thing (wrong for who!?) saying the wrong things (wrong for who!?!) or breaking the rules which admittedly are self imposed - be that in my own life or with exercise.

Growth in life is about finding YOUR way. What is right for me may not be right for you.. And that is ok. It is not one size fits all… it’s about finding the right way for yourself and being ok if that is different from another persons ‘right way’. This is also true in the way I teach. The more I learn in life and through movement the better I get at what I do. The quicker I see that what may work for one… definitely does not work for another. It is not only learning the nuances of movement … the tiny adjustments, the spring changes that make the difference to the exercise but it is also watching the body moving in front of you and knowing the journey to take it on … but most importantly the human connection with the people or person in the room - seeing them at where they are at… in that day. Feeling and really understanding the energy in the room with no words spoken…then with real empathy and enthusiasm absolutely knowing what is possible and what is not possible in that moment. That is the skill of a good teacher for me.

What about you?

Just downloading what is in my head!! It may not make sense to anyone else!!! But it does to me!! Heart on my sleeve and putting myself out there!!

Happy Friday, IG friends!
Today I'm joining @laros_pilates with her #fitballforhope in conjunction with #breastcancerawarenessmonth #pinktober
This post features a few upper body exercises that I religiously practiced after having a mastectomy & breast reconstruction surgery to help restore mobility & strength in the upper body & core region.
The progression of each exercise is on the right side of the video clips.

**Remember to consult your doctor before starting any exercises. Start with small range of motion & gradually build up the range & complexity of each exercise. Always listen to your body & stop immediately if you experience sharp shooting pain.
* Video has been sped up by 3x
