I cannot believe I am so close to finishing my first texture knit 😱

It was everything I wanted:
- Simple yet beautiful
- Challenging enough to provoke craft growth
- A teacher

We are in the last week of the #gypsophilashawl KAL, designed by @life_is_cozy (the first KAL from @knitters.inthewild) and it has been a great experience.

Of the lessons I’ve learned, this is the one that gave me freedom—freedom to adjust my stitches according to what was needed and what I liked. And I loved having a defined Estonian braid throughout the knit 😍

So, knitter, this is your reminder to be flexible with your needle sizes and adjust them according to what you need.

WIP Wednesday (beach edition 🌊☀️)

Had a very productive knit sesh with @uplateknitting and @emmylily.knits last weekend!!

First pic is the Gypsophila Shawl by @life_is_cozy using @ruiknits Glimmer 💛 I’m making this as part of the #gypsophilashawlkal hosted by @knitters.inthewild and we’re almost at the finish line!!

I recently split for sleeves on the Manolita by @eweknitto so it was the perfect beach knit! Also peep the bat stitch marker 🦇

Yarn: @itoyarn Shio and @cascadeyarns lace alpaca

Group photo of our wips 😇

PS mine and Gina’s shawls actually sparkle! It’s just so hard to capture on camera haha

Come with me to knit in different places in San Francisco!

A whole week of knitting meetups, spending time with friends, and doing chores around the city, too 😊

San Fran, a city for knitters? I can only recommend it!

If you’d like to join us in the wild, check out the events we have for you at @knitters.inthewild

See you outside, knitter!

With tassels!! I’ve finished my Gypsophila Shawl by @life_is_cozy from her One Skein Knitting book. My skein is @ritualdyes Maiden in the April foraging club colorway Tree of Heaven. I used stash yarn to add the tassels (not originally part of the pattern for this one). I love the pattern and the way it lets the yarn shine!

I’ve been knitting along with the @knitters.inthewild KAL and Ksenia’s
#oneskeinknittingkal. So much fun!

Episode 1: I coded a knitting tool for my knitting group @knitters.inthewild 🧶💻

The what: we’re hosting a knit-along featuring a pattern from a new book — so I built a website for it. A discussion forum, a stitch counter, a gallery, and a week-by-week guide so nobody’s lost. By week 6, you’ve got a finished shawl.

The why: I went on a social media break and realized knitting is my actual offline hobby, so I built this so the knit-along could live somewhere without the noise, no social media required. (Yes, I see the irony of building a screen for a screen-break hobby. We’ll get there.)

I’m an infra/backend engineer by trade, this is my first time building something real people actually use, start to finish. Come knit along, test it with me, and tell me what to fix.

Link to join is in my bio!! :D 🧶 #knittingapp #knittingseries
