POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I conquered something that’s been sitting on my bucket list for years. 🏔️

I finally took on Pocaterra Ridge in Kananaskis — close to 7 km of climbing through the Alberta Rockies — with an avid hiker friend who was the PERFECT guide and exactly the person I needed beside me as a beginner.

And somewhere between the two-hour ascent, burning legs, shaky knees, thin air, and moments of wondering “Can I actually do this?”… something shifted.

I was reminded how powerful our minds are — and how easily we can become wired for fear, fight, flight, and the stories that convince us we can’t step into the unknown.

At one point, I couldn’t catch my breath. I thought, I’m just out of breath. I must be more out of shape than I realized.
My friend reminded me: “You’re at altitude. Breathe.”

And there it was. A lesson I’ve been learning through breathwork, handed back to me on a mountain.

Breathe.
Slow down.
Trust your body.
Take the next step.

At the summit, my knees were literally shaking…. partly from the climb and partly from my fear of heights. Standing on those rocks at the very top was terrifying… and exhilarating.

But I stood there anyway. 🏔️

I didn’t expect this hike to strip away so many layers of armour, clear my mental space, challenge me physically, and remind me just how capable I am.

Today, my glutes, quads, hamstrings and calves are making sure I remember every single step. 😂
But underneath the soreness is something even better: calm, clarity, gratitude, and a deeper connection to my breath.

Sometimes we don’t need more time.
We need to make the time count.

So here’s to conquering mountains, conquering fears, breathing through the hard moments, and checking off that bucket list

My heart is so unbelievably full tonight. 💛

Today was one of those days that reminds me just how beautiful life can become when people come together with honesty, healing, laughter, and connection at the center of it all.

The convention absolutely exceeded every expectation I had. From starting the morning with yoga and learning how to reconnect my brain to my body, to helping a friend get settled into a new place, to spending the rest of the day surrounded by incredible humans, powerful speakers, endless hugs, and laughter that literally made my stomach hurt.

The keynote speaker completely blew my mind. The comedy show at the end of the night was the perfect finish. And the live auction? Unreal. Watching one of my friends absolutely own the room as auctioneer in a full pink suit while somehow getting $800 for a tracksuit was iconic behaviour honestly 😂

One of the most unexpected gifts of the day was reconnecting with friends from Lethbridge that I haven’t seen in almost 20 years. It felt like little pieces of life coming full circle all over the place today.

My arms hurt from hugging people.
My cheeks hurt from laughing.
My soul feels connected, grounded, and alive.

These are the moments that remind me recovery isn’t just about surviving anymore.
It’s about joy.
It’s about community.
It’s about becoming fully alive again.

What a beautiful fucking day. ☀️

Great weekend.

Birthdays. Milestones. Great food. Wrestling. Round dance. Fellowship. Real laughs.

And yep, a little skijour too, because I don’t know how to just “take it easy.”

I’m just grateful, man. For the people in my life, past, present, and future. The ones who show up, keep it real, and make life feel full.

R!$£ & GR!ND M¥ F£LLO₩ MUT♤NT$

This song describes the past the present and future as far as my life story. The struggles of street life, addiction and overcoming family hardships. This song is a message to the runaways, the outcasts, the misfits & most importantly the misunderstood. Being on my sobriety journey this song encapsulated my experiences, strength and hope. They say home is where the heart is and this is a story about finding my way back home.
