Busy and awesome day today!

Started by going to a class that I signed up for MONTHS ago and I was so happy it was finally here. I drove through hellacious morning traffic to hear my favorite @glymedplus rep, Melissa, teach about chemical peels and different way we can customize treatments to fit the needs of all clients. It was so insanely good and I learned a ton. I can’t wait to try them in the treatment room! I got to be there with FIVE of my girls from school. I miss them all so much it makes me want to cry! What a great morning!

As I drove home I had a zillion phone calls to make so when I got there I could try and fix the wretched curls I had going on (I do not know what happened this morning, but they were very Shirley Temple-esque) so I could go to a job interview. When I scheduled it last week, I was so glad that my biopsy sites and my microneedling flaking would be mostly healed (aside from redness) by the time of my interview.

Not so fast.

They were both feeling exponentially better, but sadly I have a new blemish. This time from my own negligence- I had forgotten to take my usual dose of antiviral medicine before getting this more advanced treatment. Because I’ve gotten a lot of cold sores since I was a kid, they pop up whenever my immune system gets overloaded (pregnancy, stress, or lack of sleep.) It really does have an effect on that! Thankfully, I knew what to and started my antiviral immediately and hit it hard with some other products. It was so enormous, but healed up really fast. Definitely not gonna risk that ever again. Lesson learned!

Make sure you tell your esthetician about a history of cold sores, friends! This one was bad, but could have been a lot worse and they can really scar. Good thing I have a serious supply of scar tape! 😜

Can’t believe this cute boy is getting baptized in a few days. So lucky that I got to capture this special moment in time for his family. I’ve loved watching you grow up Axyl and can’t wait to see what else you do in life ❤️

Getting a back facial is so good for self care, and a great way to exfoliate during the summer! Love using @glymedplus #oxygendeepporecleanser to get that bubbly, cleanse! #daviscountyesthetician #masterestheticianstudent #davistechsalonandspa

I tried a laser out today! This is called Sublative, it’s really good for texture and firming! She was a spicy girl, but @knockoutandko did a stellar job at providing this treatment! I do love getting older, I also love trying this stuff out 😉
