After 6+ years of content was deleted when my business account got deactivated, I thought I’d use this cute trend to reintroduce myself.

Hi, my name is Madeline and I started Divine Dream when I was 19 during the pandemic in 2020 while I was in college and living at my grandparents house in Mississauga, Ontario.

It started with a crystal addiction which led me to start selling my own collection on an IG account (shoutout if you’ve been here since then you’re an OG) and eventually I was lucky enough to open a physical shop in St. Jacob’s Village.

When I was a teen, I took a World Religions class at my catholic high school in Kitchener and was so inspired by the common theme all religions shared: worshipping nature.

This shot me down the rabbit hole of Buddhism and Hinduism and then crystals, witchcraft and tarot and I began collecting and teaching myself tarot by doing it for myself and my friends.

Even at just about 17, this made the most sense to me when it came to dedicating my life to something I believe in. Something I know and can see gives me life like the Sun, the Moon, water, air and fire.

I could feel the vibrations from the crystals have an impact on me and whether you believe in the witchy woo woo or not, what better way to ground and remind yourself of Earth than with a piece of it?

It adds up because my distant ancestors are Zoroastrian and Indigenous. Zoroastrianism is an ancient religion that was prominent in Iran and the people worshipped fire amongst other things. And I guess the Indigenous part speaks for itself. Their spirituality is rooted in nature.

Fast forward to having the physical storefront, somehow between running the shop 7-days-a- week while working online for a newspaper remotely, I was able to start planning events and reading tarot for my community. This changed everything.

Divine Dream has grown from just a crystal business that sells gemstones and other spiritual goods to a way of helping to heal a full on community of amazing people I have connected with along the way.

I don’t even know how to thank you all for still being here with me and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Love & Light,

Madeline 🖤

T’was a very brat summer <3

Warning cringe and cheesy caption ahead lol…

From going to Electric Forest completely solo to Chicago to my first ever dj set to my magical full moon circles, this summer was probably one of my favourites on this Earth despite this also being the hardest year of my life.

This summer I realized that I don’t need to rely anyone else to do anything I wanna do or have fun. Of course I am still so lucky to have wonderful friends and amazing family that have supported me, I actually forged some friendships that I know will last a lifetime. shoutout to y’all, you know who you are hehe. But at the same time I learned that my heartbreak, my injuries, the not-so-happy endings and that devil on my shoulder telling me I’m not good enough will never stop me.

So if you’re ever wondering if you should take the leap on that concert, that trip, that business idea or really anything you feel like you can’t do alone, F that anxiety inside your head and do it. I guarantee you’ll have an even better time than you ever could’ve imagined and will grow to love yourself and your own company.

This really isn’t meant to sound like I’m preaching, I’m definitely not one of those omg I’m a self love girly kind of people. realistically, at the end of the day I’m still a very lonely person who literally needs to be social to survive lol. I’ve honestly put this here not for you, but to remind myself who tf I am on the days I’m feeling extra shitty. But yeah, this just the beginning and I’m so so excited for what’s ahead. Okay that’s it. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk. 😜 Spread love, light and PLUR. Byyyye. 🖤

The greatest thing about your loc journey is the endless possibility for transformation. Stacy started with a full head head 14 years ago (yes this is all her own hair!) Then last year she requested an undercut but she kept her locs - just in case.

Now is the time to turn her undercut into a gorgeous V shaped loc hawk.
Would you do this?
