I worked on this pair of socks while spectating my son’s tennis matches. It was a fun and engaging knit but still easy! The pattern is called Funilla Socks from @ravijennaknits and features a picot cuff and a heel that can be knit toe-up or cuff-down. The pattern includes instructions for creating the sock in either direction you choose! I love that about a sock pattern. I used a beautiful lime green (very tennis ball-esque!) from @knottybuffalo716 and a colorway I dyed myself with kool-aid. It reminds me of Fruit Stripe Gum so that’s what I’ve been referring to it as! I am definitely scheming another bright color duo for my next pair!

Happy 161st Juneteenth. Today I thought about so many black artists, helpers and business owners that enrich my life and those we are so fortunate to have working in WNY!

This post tags just a few of the ones I adore. Who do you follow and support? Please tag them in the comments so I can add them to my list. Hope you take a minute to follow and explore their profiles if you don’t already.

Ben, Imani & Tayo (hiding behind the sign)! Congratulations on your beautiful new home! 🎉🏡 I first helped Ben & Imani find their first house back in 2022. Now their family is growing & it was time to find their next home! 🥹 This purple beauty was so meant to be! Love you guys! 💟

Yarn - DK Tweed held double or Aran/Bulky weight.

Test will begin at the end of May/beginning of June and will run until July 31st, with a release date in August (TBD).

Please DM me with your name, Instagram handle, and email.

Test is run via IG Group Chat & Google Doc.

I just ask that you don’t share or post any parts of the actual pattern when posting, but sharing progress photos is totally cool.

My testing groups are pretty chill, so if you’re looking for a relaxed test, you’re in the right place!

So, my acid reflux is so severe that I haven't been able to really function for the last month. I'm gonna get a couple scans done to figure out what's going on, but for now here's what I've been knitting:

Helix cardigan by Yumiko Alexandar using yarn from Ravelry's For Sale page

Baby blanket using yarn from Utica Creative Reuse (and some Knotty Buffalo scraps)

And a hooded scarf using more Utica Creative Reuse yarn!

No spinning for this month
