• Long days, training sessions, my own workouts, and getting everything ready to celebrate Chandler’s first birthday. A full week that reminded me why I do what I do.

This season is teaching me to be more intentional with the people I love. To move past “we need to hang out” and actually put something on the calendar. To make room for friendships, be present with my family, take care of myself, and spend time with God.

I want my time and my actions to reflect what I say matters to me.

Whether life feels good or things are difficult, there’s always something you can be intentional about. Sometimes it starts with slowing down at the end of the week and asking yourself: Where did I give my attention? What needs more of me? What blessings have I gotten so used to that I’ve stopped noticing them?

That reflection reminds me that so much of the life I’m living now is what I prayed for months or years ago. I have new desires and things on my heart, but I don’t want to become so focused on what’s next that I overlook what God has already given me.

You can be grateful for where you are and still want to grow. Having new prayers doesn’t mean you stop appreciating the ones you’re living in.

The seasons of life will change. My schedule, routines, and systems will need to grow with them. But the people I love and the things I’m called to care for still deserve my attention.

Still learning. Still growing. Still becoming the husband, father, friend, and man I’m called to be with intention.
