Thank you Jessica Steinberg @batshuaj for your mention and interest in The Jerusalem Biennale and ‘Certain Uncertainty.’ It was a pleasure to meet you. ✨

This exhibition (Certain Uncertainty) asks a simple question: What can emerge when certainty disappears?

People here have spent years navigating uncertainty, grief, post trauma, resilience and hope all at once. This work explores the space between what is known and what remains unresolved.

These works are an invitation to look beneath immediate answers — to discover what becomes visible when easy answers are no longer available. To explore the depths of the soul and imaginary places - to dream and make a new place in order to heal through creating.

I’ve traveled to Israel as a volunteer over 30 times these past 20 years - building programs to connect people to Israel & each other, to conduct art workshops during the war with Nova survivors and their families, at resilience centers and with community members in the north sharing my art philosophy, techniques and materials to heal, help and take part in everything that happens here.

My philosophy grounds itself in an openness to gut expression- instinct, improvisation and experimentation. The materials I use repel each other - they are resistant. Water, india ink, polypropylene and mineral papers - and time.

I will have a sister exhibit- an extension to this exhibition, artworks from the same series opening in the Ghetto Fighters Kibbutz Art Gallery on Nov. 7th. ✨

Opening tonight! My solo exhibition Certain Uncertainty officially opens at the 2026 Jerusalem Biennale, curated by Koby Sibony. @koby_sibony

Working on non-porous polypropylene and mineral papers, I allow water, ink, and watercolor to pool, resist, evaporate, and change. Layers accumulate over time, leaving earlier marks visible beneath later gestures—capturing both deliberate decisions and moments of surrender to chance. #deprofundis

Join us tonight in Jerusalem. 💐 @jerusalembiennale

One week from today ✨✨✨

Nothing is stable in these works. They came from a period of instability, collective distress, and the effort to remain present with experiences that can feel too large for language.”

Next week, my solo exhibition, Certain Uncertainty, debuts as part of the 7th Jerusalem Biennale. Curated by Koby Sibony, this body of work responds directly to the Biennale’s overarching theme, De Profundis (Out of the Depths), presenting contemporary art that engages with ideas emerging from beneath the surface.

Created between 2024 and 2026, these abstract paintings don’t illustrate the events or aftermath of October 7. Instead, I use abstraction to dive deep beneath the surface, engaging with grief, empathy, disruption, and longing. Critic Tom Wachunas describes the approach as a form of “complex calligraphy.”
✨✨✨
🗓️ Opening Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 20:00 at the Old National Library in Givat Ram, Jerusalem.
