Another Monday on site with the boys keeping things moving. Cutting timber, working through the finer details and putting the finishing touches on different areas of the build as everything starts to come together.

Meanwhile, the apprentice is keeping busy with site clean-up, collecting rubbish and lending a hand wherever needed. All part of learning the ropes, following instructions and understanding what goes into keeping a job site organised and running efficiently.

Sounds of the site.

All hands on deck with the painters and gyprockers kicking off, while the boys are down the bottom of the property digging holes and getting the next stage of works underway.

Plenty happening across the whole site as the build keeps moving forward.

The boys are always ready for a media day. A bit of mischief on site, digging through Jax’s ute looking for the right tools before getting stuck into the door install.

This one is being set up as a zero transition door, meaning there’ll be no raised threshold between the internal and external spaces. Getting it right comes down to the preparation, with the levels, waterproofing and door placement all needing to work together to create a clean, seamless transition once everything is finished.

Plenty of thought goes into the details you won’t necessarily notice in the finished build, but they make all the difference to how the home looks and functions.

Another detail coming together as the boys keep pushing things forward on site.

Some mornings are a little frostier than others, but the boys keep chipping away.

The cladding is now finished and plenty of progress is being made inside, with the boys working through the internal walls. Some more complex sections are taking a bit of extra planning to make the most of the available space and get the layout working exactly how it should.

Plenty happening on site and the house is really starting to take shape.

Good start to the day on site. The boys measuring up for the internal walls, getting everything set out and ready for the next stage. Plenty of banter going around to keep the morale high and the job moving.

With the external frames now in place, we’re moving onto the internal walls.

Timber is being unpacked, measured and cut to length, ready for the next stage of framing. Good progress across the site and another productive day taking shape.

Morale is high, the sun is out, and the build is moving along nicely.

Getting the rafters in on this one. It might not look like much from the outside, but this was one of those jobs that required a bit of problem solving. We needed to work a structural beam into the roof while keeping as much head height as possible, so there wasn’t much room for error.

It’s the kind of detail that most people will never notice once the plaster goes up, but it’s these decisions behind the scenes that make a huge difference to how a space feels and functions. Taking the time to get it right now means a stronger structure without compromising the finished result.

Some jobs don’t have the luxury of easy access.
When the truck can’t get there, it’s all done the hard way. Besser blocks carried by hand, one trip at a time.

On mornings like this, a bit of banter goes a long way. It keeps the boys ticking over, keeps morale high, and makes the tough jobs that little bit easier. That’s what a good crew is all about.

A successful build is about more than just the work being completed on site. Taking the time to sit down with the client, discuss progress, answer questions and talk through upcoming stages ensures everyone stays on the same page throughout the project. These conversations help build trust, provide clarity and keep the process moving smoothly from start to finish.

Lunch is also a chance for the team to reset, share a few laughs and enjoy some banter together before getting back into the day. Strong communication with clients and a positive culture on site are just as important as the craftsmanship that goes into the build itself.

On-site learning with Koby showing Bailey how to use the table saw efficiently. Taking the time to explain the process, the measurements, and why accuracy matters from the very beginning of the job.
