6 ARC seems to be taking off right now, but is it all it’s cracked up to be? I built this rifle to find out.

Stay tuned for a feature-length article in @recoilmagazine about this build and my experience stretching it out to 1,000+ yards.

I started with a @bravocompanyusa RECCE-16 MCMR, which received the following modifications:
• Refinished in OD green by @p4coatings
• @faxonfirearmsofficial Match Series 16” 6 ARC barrel
• @rexusoutfitters UltraBCG
• @leupoldoptics Mark 5HD 3.6-18 in a Mark IMS mount
• @koeng_co 509T Leupold piggyback mount with @holosunoptics SCRS red dot at 12:00
• @geissele SSA-E X trigger and ICM 20rd mags
• @radianweapons Talon selector
• @walkerdefense NILE OD green rail panels
• @deadairsilencers Lazarus 6 direct-thread
• @mdttac21 CKYE-Pod lightweight double-pull bipod

Old faithful, just a solid performer every single weekend. About ready for a @centurionarms Recce rebarrel. Factory built @cobaltkinetics 16” with @tbac_suppressors @nightforce_optics 4-16 on @koeng_co modified nf mount. #scopedcarbine

Swapped a suppressor mid match. Didn’t confirm zero. Cleaned the next stage at the @freestoneshootingcomplex October PRS match.

A little context: leading up the match I was trying a new suppressor setup and ran into some weird anomalies (which we’ll talk about once we have it all figured out) and I thought I had it all squared away, but brought my trusty @kgmsuppressors just to in case and I’m glad I did. After the issues came back in the first 2 stages of the day which cost me some easy points so I put my R65K back on and couldn’t confirm zero but it was spot on and I was able to clean stage 5. That’s given me confidence in the setup again and a little less stressed going into @prsuit_series this weekend.

Also, thankfully I was able to get this figured out before that field turned into soup.

Attended the last @the_provinggrounds @tactical_sniper_series at Clinton House for the year! Chad said it was going to be a tough one, and then paid the weatherman to make it rain. Still an awesome time with likeminded guys and amazing squad mates! Was blessed to take Top Gas Gun against some of the best gas gunners in the region, and look forward to the Championship in November! Go out and compete!

Unfortunately I battled with the @scopemate_cam turning off after extended sessions of recoil. But I’ll solve it so I can get some better video!

Closed out the DMR / Precision Gas Gun season this year with our local finale in Idaho. Challenging yet fantastic match that @parma.dmr hosted. We had a great squad, and the baseline standard helped all our performances. I have a lot of work ahead of me, but happy to finish and barely sneak in a top 20 performance. Shoutout to @ammo_squared who have helped make all the training leading into this match possible.

I’ve had this Otter Creek OCM6 for a couple of months trying to find the perfect home for hit and I think this is definitely it.

This was my first time using an Icon Defense billet receiver set, but it won’t be my last. The attention to detail and fit and finish were some of the best I’ve seen.

I tried three different loads through this rifle and settled on the Barnes Match Burner as it was extremely accurate and if I wanted to go hunt with the 90GR TACX load, POI was almost identical.

OCM6 sounded great and the recoil impulse was very soft running a full mass carrier standard A5 buffer. I never got gassed out even after a 20rd string.

Had a wonderful weekend at Coleman’s Creek in NC competing in my first DMR Run and Gun event for the @tactical_sniper_series & @the_provinggrounds. As always Chad and Sarah held an awesome match! I’m used to being squadded, shooting, and cuttin up with the homies but it was a nice change of pace and definitely an eye opener to me.

I competed in the ruck division and quickly found out about Coleman’s hills. Had a blast and will gladly participate in more of these events in the future! This will also be my first attempt at a YouTube video for a match that’s not just me shooting.
