It's been raining continously for three or four days now, and cozying up with tea, a blanket and an audiobook has become a routine. But it is a bit too dark to get good photos, I'm sorry to say.

I've assembled some of the @koernerklaus squares I've made (including the smaller version of the Sedna Square I've made up) into the front of a cushion. What do you think of the layout? Does it work or does it look messy?

Then I realised that I now have three cushion fronts laying around, but no backs... Time to figure something out. Backs aren't as fun to make as the fronts, especially when there are no back patterns to follow 😉. It's of course possible to make the same pattern as a back, but that means a zipper closing, and I hate sewing them on. So the only thing I can come up with are stripes. Well stripes it is!

💚 Hel — The Norse Goddess Series 💙🌿

Another beautiful square finished from Diana Krenz’s Norse Goddess Series — and this one is Hel.

In Norse mythology, Hel is the goddess who rules over Helheim, the realm of the dead. She is often described as a complex figure, representing the natural cycle of life, death and what lies beyond. ❄️🌙

I love how this design captures that feeling with its deep blues, soft greens, silvery grey and creamy white. The layered central flower, surrounded by delicate floral details, gives the square so much depth and texture. 🧶✨

It’s amazing how different each goddess square feels, while still belonging together as part of the same collection. I’m definitely starting to see how beautiful these would look joined into a blanket. 💙💚
