SLAY bells ring. Are you listening? In the lane, blood is glistening. A beautiful sight, he's happy tonight. Popeye in a Winter wonderland.

What happens when #DepartedSoles and @ironboundhardcider get together and make a beautiful beer baby?

Sure, the cartoon imagery may bring your mind to a deep dark place..

But the beer?

*chef's kiss*

Presenting IRON SOLES!

A #glutenfree creation from the minds of the Departed Soles #CraftBeer swuad and #Ironbound #HardCider team, forged through years of friendship, and crafted through.. well.. we drank a lot together.

This #glutenfreebeer is what we in the #beer biz call a graf, blending one of our #beers with #applecider, and creating a one of a kind Apple Cider Ale!

Using our very own Birdie Juice - recently named @USAToday's Best Gluten Free Beer in America by @10Best - as the based, we channeled @ironboundhardcider's Devil's Harvest cider when creating this monster of a craft creature.

Devil's Harvest is no traditional hard cider, either. It utilizes a blend of bittersweet and sweet apples, infused with Pine Barrens cranberries and tart cherries to create a palatable cornucopia of a fruit flavors in a crisp, dry cider.

Cans of #IronSoles are available today in the @jerseycitylagersandales_tr, which opens up at 3pm!

And for anyone looking for an amazing fall activity, please visit our friends at @ironboundfarmnj in #Asbury, #NewJersey (the one out 78, not the one at the #beach) for food and cider! But not the beer. That's only here.

Annddddd thank you to Jim Kohl for his glorious can #art return!

THE ELEMENTAL COUNCIL: AEROMANCER
🍦🍵☕️🫖🍧🧁🍦🍵☕️🫖🍧🧁

An Imperial Pastry Stout from Bolero Snort Brewery up in Carlstadt, NJ, this is a delightful brew made with Masala Chai tea and Vanilla Beans, you get tea and spice notes that complement the bold pastry flavor.

Coming in at 11.3%, Bolero themselves describe it as "Think Spiked Vanilla Chai Tea Latte — a warming, spicy black tea whisked into a vanilla cream tornado.”

I myself wasn't too sure how this would mix on a rainy, hot, disgustingly humid, typical July day in NJ, but I was pleasantly surprised how light it was with such bold flavors. As I sweat profusely drinking this, I find myself just wanting more of that sweet and tangy pastry flavor.

We visited the brewery several months ago, and everything we sampled was delicious, from the sours and lagers to my favorite, the stouts, we left completely satisfied with the product we had just consumed.

If you do visit the brewery, check out the Mexican Restaurant right next door,
La Fortaleza Carlstadt. Excellent authentic Mexican food and beverages with a welcoming and fun atmosphere.
