Have you ever wondered why the road from VGC to Freedom Way has never been completed?

Freedom Way in Lekki was expected to connect to a road coming from the VGC axis, which could improve connectivity and provide motorists with an alternative route.

But why has this connection not been completed? What happened to the original plan, and what is stopping the road from linking up with Freedom Way?

Completing this connection could help improve movement between VGC, Lekki and surrounding communities, potentially reducing pressure on some of the existing routes.

Was this road abandoned, delayed by development issues, or is there a plan to complete it?

Has anyone seen the original road alignment or knows what happened to this project? Let’s hear from you.

It is called the Lekki Regional Road. It is an 8.75 km road project designed to connect the VGC junction on the Lekki-Epe Expressway to Freedom Way in Lekki, providing an alternative route to ease traffic congestion.

Great conversation with @kolamide_, a man who is never afraid to speak his mind!

One thing is clear: if we want to see change in Lagos, we must be willing to be part of that change. We cannot demand accountability from some people while making excuses for others.

Remember, he once stood up to police officers who were driving against traffic on a one-way road. The law must apply to everyone, regardless of their position, status or connections.

A better Lagos starts with all of us doing our part and holding one another accountable.

Thank you, @kolamide_, for joining us on Drive with Lagos Updates.

Do you agree that nobody should be above the law in Lagos? Share your thoughts in the comments, and repost this to spread the message.

A Nigerian driver held his ground against a police officer caught driving one-way alongside a passenger. When forced to respect traffic rules, the officer grew visibly agitated, though a fellow officer on scene stepped in to support the driver’s stance.
