Waterbury, save the date! 🏀🎄

The 4th Annual Anthony Ireland Holiday Invitational Classic returns to Crosby High School December 19–20. Two days of competitive basketball, holiday giving, and bringing our community together to support our youth.

Like previous years, we encourage everyone to support our toy drive and help spread holiday joy to local families. All toys collected will go to the Rivera Memorial Foundation toys for tot initiative.

Our community partners will be announced over the next few weeks.

Here’s a look at our community partner halftime performances:

• Crosby Cheer
• Y Not Basketball School @ynotbasketballschool vs. Catholic Academy Girls
• Rivera & Hughes Southend Cheerleaders
• Rivera & Hughes Plena Dancers
• 3D Music Academy @3dmusicacademy
• Born to Hoop @born2hoop203 vs. TBD
• Kennedy Band @kennedyhsband

Girls play Saturday. Boys play Sunday. Four games each day, starting at noon. Swipe for the matchups and a look back at previous years.

Sponsorship and donation opportunities are available. Reach out if you or your business would like to be involved.

Bring your family, support our youth, and celebrate the season with us!

@yewithdashifts is a 5’8 point guard in the 2030 class from Connecticut who plays for @expressionselite on the Jr. EYBL circuit. Playing up as an 8th grader, he’s earned praise for his poise, tight handle, and ability to run an offense under pressure while using his body and off-hand to protect the ball. Scouts note his elite skillset and feel for the game, and expect him to make a bigger jump as he continues to develop physically.

🏀✨ Special Guest Speaker Spotlight ✨🏀

A huge thank you to Coach John Pfohl of Kolbe Cathedral High School Men’s Basketball for spending time with our Hoops & Dreams student-athletes!

Coach Pfohl shared invaluable knowledge of the game, giving our athletes firsthand insight into what coaches look for both on and off the court. From basketball IQ and fundamentals to work ethic, attitude, leadership, and accountability, our student-athletes gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to compete at the next level.

Opportunities like this help bridge the gap between talent and preparation, inspiring our youth to continue working hard, staying disciplined, and striving to become the best versions of themselves.

Thank you, Coach Pfohl, for investing in the future of our student-athletes and helping them understand what it takes to succeed in basketball and in life. 💙🏀
