33 was a year of reclaiming Shawn. The me I thought I’d be before the world suggested otherwise. A lot more yesses added to my legacy & along the way I saw the variant of me that 10 yr old Shawn imagined to see a whiiiiile ago. Real shit, the world doesn’t seem to be slowing down for aaaany of us, so you might as well try harder loving that human smiling at you in the mirror. The more you try, the more you may just catch yourself smiling back at some point... lbvs I did and now I DO. So cheers to this next revolution, honestly truly ME & the freeing power of community. It feels sweettt to be back and like wine, getting finer with a lil time❤️‍🔥👑💅🏾🌊 🧛🏾

This first half of 2022, I have felt so deeply connected to community in the most restorative and fulfilling way. It’s a wonderful feeling finding peace and solace in the people you get to spend time with and around. Peace ☮️💫🌼

I AM SIGMA, yes, a SIGMA, the summation of all things
I
can not be restricted because my soul, it soars on the wings
Of a dove,
no better love, than that of Phi Beta
Other organizations have tried, but
there's just nothing greater...
I AM SIGMA, a mighty Sigma, so please
don't believe the hype
For I am way too versatile to be held by a
stereotype...
I come light, I come dark, I come in all different shapes
and sizes
I'm constant, like the sun setting in the west, or in the east
where it rises...
"The founders of this wondrous band in numbers though
were three"
Chose eloquently, "Culture for service and service for
humanity"
As our motto, a way of life, that the others failed to
see
Which made us, Phi Beta Sigma, a part of the "Inclusive We"
And
to complete this fellowship that was clearly sent from up above
To our
consitution, our founders added a bond of "Sisterly Love"...
A bond
that some hate, yet they try to duplicate
What they see, they can't be me,
because they've
never had the key
To success, I am the best, and
the others can't compete
With my class, with my style, they're all forced to
take a back seat
I AM SIGMA, truly a Sigma, with a bond unlike any
other...
I AM SIGMA, Thank God I'm a Sigma, THE TRUE KEEPER OF MY
BROTHER.

Happy 108th Founders Day to this wondrous band that I love 💙. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated

You know what’s really spooky🎃? Low voter turnout in municipal elections! Will you help us make sure everyone’s voice is heard by getting out the vote? We’ll be knocking doors today from 3pm to 5pm. Members of our team will be in Little 5 Points and Midtown, so meet us wherever is most convenient for you! If you can join us, sign up at the link in my bio or shoot me a text. Costumes encouraged! #royceforatlanta #powertothestudents

No matter what happens next Tuesday we are all winners. We are history in the making! Never have this many young queer candidates run for office in the gay black Mecca.
