I've known Atul since my training days in cinematography, and later when I shifted to photography. It's been a long journey, knowing him first as a senior, then as a colleague, having worked alongside him during his time as President of the Photographers' Guild of India. Several years later, through workshops, events, and exhibitions, we became good friends. I consider myself fortunate to have interacted with him and learned from his experience. Atul has always been known as someone extremely generous, helpful and most importantly, a man of his word. When Esquire called me to photograph him for a feature, I was thrilled. As anyone who knows Atul understands, he thoroughly enjoys dressing and living well. One summer afternoon, I photographed him at the wonderful Kaspers, by Gauri Devidayal & Jay Yousuf. I love making images, and days like this are a joy. Esquire asked me to photograph colleague and dear friend Atul Kasbekar . A man known as much for living well as for his impeccable sense of style. Needless to say, I was more than happy to get on the job! Shot one summer afternoon on location at my favorite, Kaspers , the wonderful restaurant created by Gauri DEVIDAYAL and Jay YOUSUF.
