Busy hip hop week incoming… 🎧🎤💜 (and trying out the multiple captions thing on here so keep swiping 😜)

The main event Hip Hop Lounge on Saturday 24 October at @panke_social might be the last one of 2026 but it feels like an extra special one because @ladyparadox_music is our first female guest MC!

Super excited (can you tell 😂) that I’ll be behind the decks running the beats for her live set 🎧💟

I’ve been a bit of a fan of Lady Paradox for a while and absolutely love her latest album ‘Ikigai: Ordinary Moments’ produced by Kong The Artisan. Her ‘Mood Swings’ album with Gadget has also just had a 10th Anniversary CD release which is worth checking out! There are some great collabs across both albums which may send you off down some musical rabbit holes too 🎶❤️

Can’t believe my first time seeing her live I’ll also be DJing & playing her beats!

In the meantime though…. a new mix from me. ILLSTATIC (pun courtesy of @epicentre_the_dragon 🫡) is a slightly slower mix than my usual ones but has still got that soulful, head nodding boom bap 😊

Keep swiping for the track list….

A nice surprise with the Mixcloud charting again 🤩

5th in their lyrical hip-hop chart, 7th in UK hip hop, 19th in hip hop soul and 26th in underground hip hop. Loads of new and new-ish tracks included…

A few favourites in here, with plenty of female MCs of course: @jazkahina, Shortie No Mass, Lady Paradox, @nejmanefertiti, @artbyunity, Omega Jade…

Watch out for some 🔥 new tracks too from Multiverse 3 @the_eldah_1 remix and @conscious_route & @ramzeerap

And before the gig! We thought we’d have a little Hip Hop Lounge livestream warm up on Gumbo FM 🙌🙌

Next Monday 19 October, 7.30pm on Mixcloud. Me, Epicentre and @v3xster warming things up, talking nonsense (probably) and of course playing some quality boom bap hip hop ahead of Saturday’s event.

Hope you can join us online for that one - especially if you can’t make it to Sheffield for the main event next Saturday 🥰

(Thanks for reading if you got this far 😂 is multiple captions a good feature?)

Thanks for having me @djwpresents and for capturing this @cleonedd_personal. And a lot of gratitude for @massive_cranes - the entire reason I was there in the first place.

Thanks to Kate Tourbee for coming on the show this week.

We spoke about her time as a Tour Manager for the Red Bull 3Style tournaments, where we met at Red Bull UK finals in London 2018, spoke about the amazing experiences she's had travelling the world. And most importantly spoke about her own DJ journey & her new, monthly Open Mic & beats event called Get Down.

On top of that, played plenty of excellent new music for all the Hip Hop heads.
