Tomorrow we will announce the details and ticket sales for the Passages Season 3 closing event - Saturday May 17th. We have something very special lined up, picking up where we left off in the labyrinth just a few days ago...

Last Saturday we explored new territory for Passages, with a 5-piece improv ensemble performing two exceptional, moving, dynamic sets on trumpet, vibraphone, EWI, bass, keys, and electronic instruments, perfectly set up by an opening jazz-centered DJ set, and all accompanied by vibrant, fluid projections.

~Thank you to the ensemble - Koof Ibi | Hudson River | Tyler Pursel | William Stichter | Jason Carr
~Thank you to the DJ - Matthew Stebbins
~And thank you to the video artists - Luminous Abstract / Klip Collective feat. John Krajewski and Grant Bouvier

Videos 1-3 - moments from the ensemble performance
Video 4 - a moment from the DJ set

More tomorrow…

Last week the Studio for Electronic Art had the privilege of hosting Philadelphia musician and improviser Koof Ibi. Take a gander at the video clips to see how we used Koof's trumpet to drive changes in a modular synth. Be sure to catch Koof as part of Fire Museum Presents lineup on October 14.
