A Coffee Lovers’ Guide to the Marais by food and culture writer (and coffee aficionado) @kooksstudio

If you appreciate quality coffee, look no further. Here, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite cafés in the Marais.

I/O Café - A small, charming café with a very relaxing ambience. This is the place to go when you are looking for a place to journal or read and enjoy a delicious coffee served in beautiful ceramic mugs.

Tiba: If you are a coffee nerd like me, this is a café that I would definitely put on your list. Their minimalist, sleek interior paired with an exceptional array of pour over and espresso offerings makes for a great experience. You can tell that everything they serve is picked and brewed with intention.

Tanat (previously Kawat) - The best locally roasted café/coffee I tried in Paris. Kawa was recommended to me by a friend and I was very impressed with my pour over. They have quite an impressive range of offerings for both filter and espresso. It is a bit on the pricier said, but if you are seeking something local it is definitely worth a try.

Dreamin’ Man - When visiting Paris, this is the place that is non-negotiable for me. What began as a small, family-run café on Rue Amelot has now amassed quite a following. Owners, Yuichiro and Yui have created a captivating space that serves incredible fresh baked goods as well as a coffee lineup that has been crafted and brewed to perfection. This is always my first recommendation to family and friends when visiting Paris.

Typica - A multiroaster café with a vast display of coffee offerings. This place is a dream for unique tasting, black coffee lovers like me!

Note: The majority of cafés don’t allow laptops.

annika and I hosted our second dinner party together last week — this one autumn themed. I love cooking and I love my community here + I feel super duper lucky to be part of a partnership that marries those two things so beautifully 🫂

@laurencilengir took these photos, @evanfandrei designed the menus this month, and @camilonerii made the ones for our first dinner back in july (see the final slide!)
