Stitchaversary🪡I started stitching August of 2023. I went with @smschier_ndlpt to pick up her finishing from @the_needle_house, bought canvas and threads and fell in love with needlepoint. Two years later, many classes, several retreats, lots of fun memories and new stitch friends, the fun continues!🤗

Stitched memories, full hearts (and stomachs), and a very empty wallet—worth every minute. Huge thanks to @whatsthepoint.needlepoint for the most delightful retreat, and to @nashvilleneedlepointer for the finishing class of my dreams!

@koolcars is an absolute legend for frogging a heap of donated canvases we didn’t have matching threads for. A totally thankless job that she did in record time. Lisa is the sweetest and an amazing resource for newer stitchers with @lastitchclub as she’s a true Cali girl and knows all the stores!

It's been almost 2 weeks since these pictures were taken, and I'm still in awe of the amazing, creative, and kind ladies I met during the @pointingitoutpodcast retreat hosted by in @stlneedlepoint in St. Louis.

As I reflect on the experience, I'm so grateful this was my first retreat. The overall energy was contagious, and all attendees were so positive and genuinely excited for the event and shared love for needlepoint. I couldn't have asked for a better retreat experience!

Ladies, you embraced me from day 1 and were so supportive during my health emergency on the last day. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope to see you all again in the future! 💚

Here we are at Friday and another weekend! We’re excited to feature @koolcars as this week’s featured stitcher!

“Hi NDLPT Nation! I’m Lisa and I live in Whittier, CA with my husband and fur baby. I am truly honored to be a featured stitcher. When I am not stitching on a WIP, I am an Administrative Supervisor in the underground utilities industry. Also, I love to go to car shows, cruise our vintage cars and root for the Dodgers and the Fighting Irish.

In August 2015, I went to my local LNS to buy floss for a cross stitch project. The owner’s daughter was helping me and said they were having a sale on Needlepoint stockings. I said, “I don’t know how to needlepoint”. She said, “My Mom can teach you” and I walked out with not 1 but 2 stockings. After my 1st class, I was hooked, and the stash began to grow… and grow. I love to stitch Halloween canvases, but Christmas is a close second.

My favorite thing about Needlepoint is that I have never felt that I was very artistic (math was my jam), but I am able to put my creative stamp on a canvas with my thread and stitch choices. It relaxes me and allows me to decompress. Needlepoint has opened up a whole community of really supportive and wonderful people.”
