CLERGY APPRECIATION MONTH: As I reflect on the woman I was 11 years ago when I joined The Father’s House, I am still in awe of the marvelous work God has done in my life. Every morning I wake up, I am blown away by His faithfulness and the transformation He has brought about through His grace and your unconditional love. My journey wasn’t easy. There were moments when I felt broken, discouraged, and even hopeless. I had been bound for 31 years by struggles with pornography, masturbation, and same-sex attraction. Insecurities, a lost identity, self-hate, and victimization tried to pull me away from my destiny. But through it all, you never gave up on me! You prayed for me, corrected me, loved me, and continued to believe in what God was doing in my life, even when the process was difficult. You always showed up when I needed you most. You never allowed hurt or moments of disappointment to deter you; instead, you remained consistent. Today, I stand as a delivered woman of God, a therapist, an evangelist and an advocate for children and teenagers. Someone who struggled throughout school and was told it would be useless to go to college but now has 3 college degrees. God has transformed my life and given me a purpose that reaches beyond me. What once felt like an impossible journey has become a testimony of His delivering power, grace, redemptive love and a total dream come true! I am NOT the same woman who walked through those doors 11 years ago! And I will forever be grateful that God used you both to help shape the woman I am today. Apostle Yolanda and Pastor Kori, thank you for loving me through the process, seeing beyond my struggles, and never giving up on me. Your investment in my life will never be taken for granted. I pray God strengthens you, refreshes you, and rewards you for every seed you have sown. God gets the glory for my transformation, but I will never forget the vessels He used along the way! Eleven years later, I am still growing, still becoming, and still in awe of what God can do with a life surrendered to Him. What a powerful Sunday! 🙌🏽 As we celebrated Father’s Day, we were reminded that God’s design for the family is intentional both the mother and the father carry divine roles that shape, cover, and nurture the home. When those roles are aligned with God, the foundation is unshakable. We must be rooted in relationship with God. We must go deeper! True strength in the home flows from deep intimacy with God where we are refined, led, and filled by His Spirit. Fathers. Mothers. Families.
