Last weekend, our Procurement Manager Rik Martin represented Meteor Electrical at the AlEW Trade Show in Stratford-upon-Avon.⚡️

A big part of what allows us to offer a strong product range and reliable service to our customers is the quality of the supplier relationships behind the scenes.

The show was a great opportunity to spend time with many of the brands and suppliers we work with, including @kosnicuk, @liveelectrical_uk, @forumlightingsolutions and @redarrowelec while also catching up with familiar faces and seeing what’s new across the industry.

It was also fantastic to see two businesses we work closely with recognised in the AlEW Supplier of the Year awards, as voted for by members:

🥈 Live Electrical Distribution (UK) Limited - 2nd place
🥉 Selectric UK - 3rd place

Meteor Electrical is an agent for Selectric UK in Ireland and a stockist of Live Electrical Distribution (UK) Limited, so it was brilliant to see both businesses recognised by the wider AIEW membership.

Strong supplier partnerships give us better access to products, stronger technical support and more choice for our customers
- and events like AIEW are an important part of maintaining and strengthening those relationships.

Thanks to the AIEW team for a great event, and to everyone who took the time to catch up with Rik on the day!

What a day! 👏⚡

The day didn't exactly get off to the best start... a flat tyre on the van meant we lost the whole morning's work! 🚐🛞 We left one of the boys to get that sorted while the rest of us headed to the Electrical Festival in Cardiff.

Safe to say it turned into an amazing day! There were loads of games to play, prizes to be won from all the different stalls, and we even had the chance to meet football legend Robert Earnshaw! ⚽🙌

It was a brilliant family day out too. The event was really child-friendly, keeping the kids entertained all day, and the free food and ice cream definitely went down a treat! 🍦🌭😁

A huge thank you to everyone involved for putting on such a fantastic event. Days like these show what a great community the electrical industry has.
