Now, it seems almost a miracle that this project became a reality before an extreme heatwave, after which some parts of the Marais dried up…

The project was developed with the support of the Centre-Val de Loire Region and ENSA Bourges, in partnership with Patrimoine Marais, Antre Peaux, and the City of Bourges.

Thank you for the video documentation @flavie_herbreteau @shana.herbreteau <3

Very happy that "Miroirs d'éau" project came real! last Thursday!

Miroirs de l’eau is a project dedicated to listening, wandering, dreaming, distance, the far away, movement through space, and being-with others.
Unfolding over three hours, the work invites participants to drift through the territory of the Marais, guided by a series of textual scores. Along the way, audience encounter performative scores for inner listening and pieces of co-existence for five brass instruments performed on boats.
These musical and performative interventions are accompanied by choreographies of movement: the boats trace pathways through the landscape while sound itself is choreographed across space. The work cultivates a sense of co-presence with the marshlands, directing attention toward sounds and forms that often escape our notice.

I am endlessly grateful to all the people with whom this project found its ground:

One month ago, we held a memorial charity concert in honour of Pavel Kushnir to support political prisoners in Russia!
The venue was more than full, and each person there made this night even more special and meaningful. The evening turned out just as we’d hoped — warm, sincere, and of the highest quality. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone who was part of this event for your solidarity, invaluable help, and support. Together, we raised 2,500 euros, and this is just the beginning! Love and peace to everyone 🤍🕊️
