every time I get to go back to Guatemala, I am fully aware that it is God’s mercy to me to be able to do this. from washing of feet, muddy futbol games, painting mamas nails, listening to the women giggle like little girls and then switching to songs of praise to God, preaching the gospel, acting out skits, creating floral arrangements, lots of bus time, laughs, and healing tears — this is just a glimpse of what the Lord did and worked through in 7 days. there is no way to encapsulate all that God did in the lives of these kids, mamas, and in our team. but what I can say is that we serve a God who can take one messy and painful story and lead it to another person that helps bring encouragement, healing, and a whole new level of connection as we all suffer in our lives in different ways. the common denominator is that God is always on time and never late to the scene of our stories colliding.

Very grateful to partner with @onehopeministry and @laibaguate who are constantly alongside of vulnerable families in unseen areas, and lifting the arms of this incredible church — this last week was packed full of God’s kindness and power. He’s an on time God.

thanksgivng is a consistent reminder to reflect on the things we have and what we can be grateful for. it’s been a tough year, but there is so much for me to be grateful for.

1. my family. both my immediate family, and my new bonus family. i have felt all the love and care from everyone over the years and i’m so grateful to call them my family.
2. my pets. although i’ve lost a pet this year, i’ve also gained a new one and i love my three girls (even when they chew on things they’re not supposed to, climb my christmas tree, or tear up my bed).
3. my new home. since deciding to move from minnesota to north dakota, i have fallen in love with my independence and finding a new place to call home.
4. all the traveling. traveling to 35 states + 2 countries has been amazing and even though there hasn’t been much of it this year, i still appreciate all the traveling i have done.
5. concerts and new music. to be able to experience the music live has been beautiful and i love sharing new things like new albums, EPs, and so on with people.
6. school. my time at NCU came to an end earlier this year and UND has graciously accepted me as a student and i am so grateful that i get to be able to further my learning and appreciate the moments ive learned at both schools.
7. my friends. i’ve said goodbye to my minnesota friends, ive watched friends move to other states or countries, but i still appreciate the moments i had with them. on top of that, ive made new friends since moving and i love that i have people who can encourage me or be right at my doorstep if i ever need them.
8. my creative element. from baking to making art to writing, all of it has been something that i appreciate so dearly and other people have learned to appreciate.
9. my church + youth group. northview is a place i can call home and being able to be a youth leader and stand by amazing people who want to feed into the next generation as i do is inspiring. watching these students fall in love with Jesus, make bold steps in their faith, but just appreciating each other and our church puts me in awe. i love my NVC youth family and church family ♡
10. most importantly: my relationship with christ.

What an amazing last few months it's been with all of you! We've been absolutely blown away by the dedication, grit, and unwavering support you show up with every single day.

It's truly special to witness everyone doing hard things together, pushing limits, celebrating wins (big and small!), and consistently getting better everyday. From those tough WODs to crushing new PRs, every moment spent together in this gym makes us stronger, as individuals and as a community.
