POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I never really know where a painting is going when I start.

Sometimes I have a color in mind.
Sometimes a shape.
Sometimes absolutely nothing.

I just start.

Then one decision leads to another. Something I loved gets covered up. A color changes. A line gets added. An entire section suddenly becomes something completely different.

And somewhere along the way, the painting starts to feel like it has a mind of its own.

Someone said something to me recently that I loved:

“The art tells the artist when it’s done.”

That’s exactly what it feels like.

I don’t always know where I’m going or when I’m going to get there. I just keep responding to what’s in front of me until eventually… it clicks.

And maybe creativity — and life — works a little like that.

We spend so much time wanting to know what the finished picture is going to look like before we’re willing to begin.

But maybe we’re not supposed to know.

Maybe we’re just supposed to start.

Make the first mark.
Follow the next idea.
Change direction when it feels right.
Trust the process.

And eventually you might look up and realize you’ve created something you never could have planned from the beginning.

Painting 15 of 15. Coloring the Cosmos is complete.

Started this series with a pencil, 15 songs, and a question about sacred geometry. 15 paintings later... this is the answer.

Slide 7 holds part of the why. The ancients were mapping the same frequencies.

Thank you for following the journey. Which painting in the series hit you hardest?

#coloringthecosmos #sacredgeometry #artseries” Artist carefully hand-painting a geometric canvas, adding fine details to a vibrant sacred geometry-inspired artwork in natural sunlight.

Finally getting around to posting my favorite photos from a shoot I did here on Maui. Over the last few years I’ve completely overhauled my wardrobe, and only wear 100% natural fabrics - primarily organic cotton, linen, silk, and cashmere. I’m a big fan of undyed unbleached organic cotton (raw, heirloom, wild brown etc) and natural dyes. I’ll tag some of the clothing brands featured here and add some others I like and own but didn’t wear for this shoot to the comments. This shoot was originally for my music production new release, but that’s being postponed for awhile so I’ll make a different post about that another time! -📷 @rudy.bibee.pila

Allow your body to shed
so deeply that you awaken with a whole new ecosystem.
Inhale the moonlight
while the wind whistles to your soul.

Place your pain upon the altar of earth.
Let her take it and wash you clean.
Let your tears fall as prayers onto the flowers…..
