Welcome to Relay Rewind 👋

A mini-series catching up with people who’ve done Relay and finding out where God has taken them since.
With 1,700+ Relay over the years, Relays have gone into all sorts of fields, places and ministries.

Next up: Krish Kandiah! @krishkandiah

Dr Krish Kandiah OBE is the founder of The Sanctuary Foundation, a charity helping refugees find welcome, work and worthwhile housing in the UK.

Since Relay, Krish has gone on to become a leading voice in refugee resettlement, child welfare reform, educational innovation and civil society mobilisation.

He has helped mobilise churches and civil society groups to welcome and support people arriving from Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Gaza and Sudan, and regularly advises government. He has also inspired and trained thousands of people to care for vulnerable adults and children.

So, what did Relay look like for Krish, and how did God use that year in the years that followed? 🙌

A new survey from Theos suggests the majority of Christian nationalists do not go to Church. But the findings also raise uncomfortable questions for regular churchgoers about how closely their political beliefs align with the teachings of Jesus, says Krish Kandiah

Yesterday I had the honour of attending and contributing to the very timely conversation led by Lord Rees of Easton @marvinjrees and Dr Krish Kandish OBE about racial justice and racist incidents experienced by young people across the UK.

Thank you for a wonderful first step towards action that translates to racial justice for our young people..

see staggering stats (last slide) by the numbers according to @ukhomeoffice deeply worrying but not beyond us, we can turn the tides for good.

Special thank you to @katherinemaxi 💐🧡 Queen

What a day! Yesterday I interviewed 3 generals of the Kingdom for the Legacy Podcast. Krish, Agu and Elaine.

Krish Kandiah is such an inspiring pioneer and visionary. His uni days were crucial to his understanding hospitality of the stranger as integral to the gospel. Since then he’s set up Home for Good and the Sanctuary Foundation.

Pastor Agu Irukwu is senior pastor of Jesus House UK. He is a statesman in the church. While at university he ran away from God before the Holy Spirit caught up with him. He loves prayer and spending time with Jesus.

Elaine Storkey is a fearless speaker of the truth and one of the clearest thinkers you’ll ever come across. She has campaigned, advocated and counselled for decades. She was a founder member of Fusion and referred to her university time as formative beyond measure.

Oh yeah and I had chips and a Yorkshire pudding with Jo Saxton during the Messi masterclass. What a day!
