Setting up my “Aayudham” (Weapon) ⚔️🔥
.
Setting up an editing table or workstation is a dream for many editors, and this has been a long pending dream of mine. I have always believed in the saying, “Good things take time.” 😇🤞🏽✨
.
Every film we enjoy, every moment we cherish on screen, is a creation born at an editor’s table. 🎞️
.
Now, I’m all set to create more stories, craft more moments, and bring more visions to life in collaboration with my very own editing table. ♥️✨

Happy Aayudha Poojai 🙌♥️

We were all set to capture another event for Ridley’s when, much to our surprise, it got cancelled at the very last minute.

Instead of calling it a day, we decided to make the most of the situation and wait for the people who had booked the court to arrive. It turned out to be the perfect opportunity, as Ridley’s already had plenty of beautiful daytime content, but was missing the night-time vibe.

Once the players arrived, we quickly took permission to film, and thankfully everyone was incredibly cooperative, making the shoot smooth and enjoyable.

We shot using only the available lights in the space, and luckily, we had a Sony FX3 with us that day, which helped us handle the low-light conditions with ease.

What started as a cancelled shoot ended up becoming this video, capturing the beautiful night vibe at Ridley’s.

Being new to the game ourselves, covering the @playoapp × Ridley’s pickleball workshop had us constantly switching between documenting the action and learning about the sport along the way.

While capturing the coaching sessions, rallies, and interactions, we found ourselves picking up plenty of pickleball lingo too. Following the event closely enough to tell the story of the day gave us a front-row seat to the learning experience.

As always, our focus was on capturing the true essence of the event. With the courts bathed in bright sunlight and the vibrant yellow ball standing out against the blue and green surfaces, the visuals were a delight to shoot and even more satisfying to colour grade later.

Between takes, we even pitched in with a bit of ball-picking duty and managed to capture some unique top-angle perspectives from the neighbouring terrace. Anything for the shot!

We genuinely enjoyed documenting the experience, and we hope you can feel that same energy through this film. Watching everyone discover and embrace the sport made it all the more rewarding to capture.
