From New Jersey to Indiana… More Than Just a Diamond Painting Retreat!

Two suitcases, a painting journal, 120 markers, diamond paintings, my Warby Parker glasses, and only TWO T-shirts for FIVE days! Off I went to my very first diamond painting retreat!

I knew a few familiar faces, including my friend Jenni, who hosted the retreat, my roommate Karen, and sisters Kris and Kel. What I didn’t expect was to leave with so many new friendships and unforgettable memories.

Over 20 women from across the country, including Alaska, came together for one thing… our love of diamond painting!

I arrived with a plan to share my artwork, spread some love, hope, laughter, and of course, a little harmless chaos! Yes, I even packed my ukulele, kazoo, and tambourine! And thanks to a wonderful gentleman who showed up with his guitar, “Bobby, Did You Make Coffee Last Night?” became a moment I’ll never forget! Some loved it, some probably didn’t know what to think! LOL! And some just simply couldn’t handle it. Sorry not sorry!

But somewhere between the diamond paintings, overflowing tables of accessories, conversations, and laughter, I realized this retreat had a greater purpose.

Jenni gave me the opportunity to share my art story, and the tears came. Art has been such an important part of my healing, and being able to share that journey reminded me why I create. Not for money, but for the priceless things… smiles, hugs, encouragement, and connection.

By Sunday morning, I was leaving with a refreshed spirit, new friendships, and a clearer vision of how I want to continue sharing my art with others.

Thank you to Jenni and all the amazing ladies who made these five days so special. We came to diamond paint, but we left with so much more.

God isn’t finished with this journey, and neither am I.

Art is love. Art is healing. Art is meant to be shared.

Pickles is a love !!🥒

She is the momma of buzz, Hami, woody, bo peep and formerly known as Jaggs.

She’s got a spunky personality and was an amazing momma to her babies .

Now that they babies are all in fosters or homes- she is spayed/ shots are up to date and ready to be adopted 💓

A foster home for pickles in also an option!

The puppies always find a home quicker then the momma does and we are really hoping her special person sees her post 💓

Pickles loves to play with other dogs and she gets jumpy and nippy - but she is just trying to show her love and excitement - so we are working on those things -

Transparency is very important for our dogs as we want them to be successful💓

We love pickles so much and really want her to be happy in her forever home so if you have any questions we are always here to answer them all !💓

Please apply for pickles through @healinghoundsrescue

Woody - Hami and Buzz are all still looking for their family !

Their siblings Bo Peep and Kiki have found their forever homes 🎉

Unfortunately these 3 sweet hearts and their mom are all still waiting so patiently ❤️‍🩹

They have had so many interests - but each person that we thought was serious - ghosted or decided it wasn’t the right time.

Now at around 6-7 months old these babies are still waiting and it hurts our hearts to know that they haven’t found their families yet .

Please please reach out if your interested in fostering or adopting 🙏🏽

Sharing them helps too! ✨

This sweet girl was roaming in apple valley - no one has claimed her and she’s not chipped

She is very lovable and friendly - but the finder can’t keep her because she doesn’t do well with her horses .

Can anyone emergency foster ?
It’s way to hott for any dog to be outside - nevermind a black pitty 😞
