Thank you for the memories, TwitchCon 2025. Until next time…

This year marks my 4th TwitchCon, and almost exactly 5 years since I started streaming. Streaming on Twitch had completely changed my life and I am grateful that I always had the opportunity to meet my community and friends in person at TwitchCon every year.

This year was a lot of the same - seeing the same friends, the opportunity to meet new friends, and making great memories with them.

This year also felt very different - Spending time with different people, hosting my first meetup, being a larger part of the Dancerush community, no IRL streams from myself, a larger presence of IRL streamers and influencers at the con, and an uneasy feeling in the air due to drama from Twitch’s gross mishandling of a number of situations over the weekend.

TwitchCon certainly is changing, and frankly, I’m not sure what next year is going to look like or if I will be part of it. However, I certainly cherish all the memories I have made and will be making with my friends and friends to be. The people and the community are really what makes TwitchCon weekend so special. As long as I am able to have positive and safe interactions with them, then I look forward to the next time I will be able to do so.

To everyone I saw and met this year, thank you so much for making my weekend special and giving me memories that I will cherish for life. TwitchCon is over, but our connection is not. Hope to see you again soon 😊

April showers bring May flowers but it’s July and I’m just now noticing it all because the past 4 months have been a blur. How did I end up here?

⏪

April showers came in the form of saying goodbye to all the people who’ve taught me how to love the most vulnerable years of my life, goodbye to my dream apartment looking out to the palm trees and sunrise/sunset, goodbye to familiar places and all that I’ve known to be home in the past 10 years living independently in San Diego.

May flowers came in the form of a 5’8” curly-haired mustached man who lived in Washington. Around him sprouted new friendships, new feelings and a new definition of home.

June & July passed just as quickly and so much has changed. I keep thinking I’ll get this “aha!” moment with all that’s happened, but life continues to ebb and flow in directions I never thought it would.

I don’t know how I ended up here or where my life is going, but I think that’s okay.
