INA ✨💛 This story, this character, this cast and crew… this is what ignites the fire in my soul. This is why I do what I love. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get to tell the story on screen of a mixed-raced Filipino-Australian woman, attempting to navigate her way through love, pain, acceptance, and cultural identity. I had to grapple with some pretty deep to my core demons during this process, but the whole time, I felt nothing but support, guidance and love from the entire team.

To my twin flame, the heart and soul of this piece, @rachelmaxinex . Thank you for your brave heart and brutally honest text that you brought to life. Thank you for holding my hand at the edge of the cliff and saying, “let’s just jump and see what happens”. (Figuratively of course, but if you said this, I’d jump). Thank you for trusting me with Maddy. And finally, thank you for teaching me to love all the parts of me I learnt to shame, because maybe we are perfect just the way we are, a mix-mix of all the best things. I truly am fucked now, because I’m certain nothing will live up to this experience.

Mahal kita ✨💛

Getting to watch @ina.series Preview Screening next to my Ate, and real life Ina meant more than I can explain. @mrs_cc_clare couldn’t believe what @rachelmaxinex had written: the complexities of how it feels to grow up as a mixy Filipina-Australian, and that’s exactly how I felt when I couldn’t put the script down for the first time. Episodes one AND TWO are out now and the response has been nothing short of incredible. I’m so excited for the world to watch the rest of the series ✨💛 Episodes dropping every Tuesday and Thursday!

What an unforgettably beautiful night 💛

Earlier this week, we gathered at @dendy.au with our cast, crew, families, friends, supporters, and members of the local Filipino community to celebrate 𝑰𝒏𝒂.

It was incredibly special to share the full series with an audience for the first time. Hearing people laugh, gasp, and shed genuine tears was deeply moving.

It’s hard to believe we were shooting this time last year. Seeing everyone come together was a beautiful reminder of how many hands and hearts helped bring this series to life.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to everyone who has been part of the journey. Episode 1 is now out – we’re so excited to finally start sharing it with you all. ✨

💛 Kriss Dillon is BOBBY 💛

“Bobby for me was the calm in the storm, I knew exactly how I wanted to portray him because of Rachel’s beautiful writing. He is the type of character you struggle to say goodbye to as an actor.”

Born in Cambridge, United Kingdom, and now based in Queensland, Australia, Kriss Dillon has built a diverse and dynamic career in film and television. His credits include DA VINCI’S DEMONS, CUCKOO (BBC & Netflix), HULLRAISERS (Channel 4), BBC’s CASUALTY and DOCTORS, and Disney’s THE ONE AND ONLY IVAN. With British-Turkish heritage and global experience, Kriss brings creativity, versatility, and depth to every project he works on.

Food is at the heart of our show and how it has a way of bringing us back to family (whether we like it or not) ❤️

So for Mother’s Day, we asked our cast and crew:
“What food makes you think of your mum?”

Here’s a little sneak peek of some of our team in front of and behind the camera that we haven’t properly introduced yet:

🥧 Shepherd’s pie @kriss_dillon
🎂 Birthday cake @gemroseartistry
🧀 Cheese toastie + apple slices @dc_coyle
🥣 Congee @raechoi_
🍗 Apricot chicken @jonathan.coleman6
🥟 Shepherd’s pie + pierogis @todd.macdonald.146
🥔 Creamy scallop potatoes, chicken parmigiana + chicken chow mein @amyanneingram
🍜 Yaki udon @ryo.oloingsigh
🍲 Baboy sinigang + pancit @jennifer_holt

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, stepmums, aunties, grandmothers and mother figures who showed us love through food.
