Private screening - cast edition!

We're missing a few cast members from the night, but here are some of the fantastic, talented actors you'll see in The Mural!

Casting this over a year ago was a huge first step into making this film a reality... casting is where the story starts to take shape...the voices come to life and can truly start to visualize the characters. We are so lucky to have the cast that we had to bring life to the story!

LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!

Today is the first day of the 2026 Noise-A-Thon, and The Sound Stage is participating to benefit Brett's Bass Fund and the amazing Kristina Haddad.

Think of it like a walk-a-thon, but instead of walking, you spend at least 15 minutes a day practicing your chosen form of "noise" throughout October.

And you don't have to be a musician. Your "noise" can be voiceover practice, monologues, audiobook narration, singing, character voices, reading Shakespeare, playing an instrument, practicing commercial copy, or whatever creative thing you enjoy.

Our Sound Stage team goals:
$1,000 raised
5,000 minutes of practice

Want to participate?

Register for the Noise-A-Thon through The Sound Stage's team link.

When you register through our link, you'll automatically be added to The Sound Stage team. You can choose your own personal fundraising and practice goals, then spend October making some noise and logging your minutes.

Just want to support us?
You can donate without registering or participating.
Simply click the same link and choose Donate, then credit your donation to The Sound Stage. Your donation will count toward our $1,000 team fundraising goal.

So:
Want to make noise with us? Register.
Want to support the team? Donate.

Either way, we'd love to have you be part of it!

Let's see how much noise we can make this month!

NOISE-A-THON starts today!!!

@brettsbassfund is such an amazing organization that brings the mental health benefits of playing music to people that might not otherwise be able to afford the barrier to entry of gear and lessons and mentorship. Noise-A-Thon is the main way they’re able to hook up those aspiring musicians.

It’s super fun and beneficial to participate in, you can either pledge to make noise every day in October, or sponsor someone who does.

A few photos from our private cast & crew screening of The Mural at the Mission Theater.

I’m so grateful for Alison and her unrelenting passion for this project through every step of the process. She never lost steam, and she kept investing in all the little details that made the screening and the film itself feel even more special.

It was so fun to finally watch it with our cast, crew, friends, and family. Now on to festivals! 🤞❤️

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for all the beautiful messages, comments, love and support after I shared that my dad had passed. I have read every one of them, even though I haven’t been able to respond to everyone yet. They have meant more to me than you know.

There are also some people who carried me through those difficult days in ways I will never forget. @kelsey183202 was right there by my side during one of the hardest moments, and I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through it without her. @barbaralusch @laaschmarcella @krissy1407 @dawnsellerspdx @meghan.daaboul Nancy pants @wandersandwink @sarahbrodywebb and all the girls checked in on me constantly during those couple of weeks leading up to the funeral. Sometimes it was a phone call, a text, food, a hug, or simply asking, “How are you doing today?” Every bit of it mattered.

I still want to go back through my post and personally respond to all of you who took the time to share a memory, send your condolences, or simply let me know you were thinking of me. I will. ❤️

These last few days I’ve had the wonderful distraction of spending time with Bodhi while Becca is away celebrating her anniversary. After the heaviness of last week, hanging out with my grandson, laughing, playing and having little adventures together has been exactly what I needed.

Grief is a strange journey. Last week was incredibly hard. This week has had some laughter and joy mixed in. I’m learning there’s room for both.

Thank you for surrounding me with so much love. I have felt every bit of it. ❤️

Had a truly epic weekend at The Strange on the set of Johnny Boy Jump. What a cast and crew! I’m so lucky to be making cool sh** with cool people. Gonna be euphoric for a bit. Can’t wait to get this edited together.
