Salzburg was a sleeper hit, ngl. We did a sound of music tour that basically became the “scenic Salzburg” tour and it was so fun getting to see the surrounding area!

The fall of 2018 was miserable. I was living in LA, missing my friends and spending hours on end writing and studying alone.

There were a lot of long walks listening to The Astrology Podcast and feeling overwhelmed with a despair I couldn’t articulate beyond sobs.

It was messy — for me and everyone around me.

As Venus started her retrograde journey through my fourth house, I packed my car and returned to Detroit.

Much has changed between then and now — I found friends, deepened my love of astrology, spent a lot of time in therapy and returned to LA.

Venus has returned to the same section of the Zodiac, where she will once again make her retrograde journey through the fixed waters of Scorpio.

This time I’m not doing it alone.

This Venus Rx I invite you to join me for Seeking Shelter: a six-week container for writing, storytelling, and astrological exploration around the upcoming Venus Rx.

Two of these six sessions will be led by my dear friends and mentors, @larrylarryarrington and @kristalynsofia✨.

Art school was the first of many schools I would go on to drop out of.

A thousand and some years ago, I moved to Chicago to study photography. I was so anxious and scared of people that I mostly skipped photo lab to hide in a corner of the public library with Kerouac and great big photo books — Nan Goldin, Sally Mann, Wolfgang Tillmans, William Eggleston.

Coming back to Chicago for UAC felt different. Eight+ years into astrology, I spent a week in school not wanting to run away.

I still find the process difficult — still have complicated feelings about institutional learning — but I have friends now, and I’m not afraid of showing up.

Ignore my heavy breathing, it was high altitude and 2 plus hours of nothing but stairs. Lol.

I will say though, whenever we do do a hike on one of our retreats it is always so magical and fun.

And this is not the only time I have narrated it. Let me know if you want another episode of witches in the wild. 😆

This is your sign to make a music video with your friends ✨ we just happened to do ours in Peru 🇵🇪 😉

What an incredible adventure. I am so grateful for this trip and all of the wonderful people and places I explored. Friendships were deepened, I laughed until I cried, got beaten up by a mountain and learned so much about myself and the culture. I’ll be sharing more of my adventures later on, but for now enjoy our music video (and yes, there will be one at every country I visit from now on)
