So some good news.
We didn’t save him - BUT A GREAT RESCUE GOT HIM. God luck old sweet boy 😭!

Zorro is euth listed and can be euthanized as soon as his notice expires
This sweet old boy came in dirty and neglected but chipped, which means someone abandoned him so cruelly in his senior years
He hasn’t been feeling well due to uri and his meds went uneaten
Zorro deserves to know something better
He needs a real home or foster and rescue urgently, to help him out in his time of need

Zorro is a well-adjusted dog who enjoys companionship and would thrive in a caring home where he can continue to heal and enjoy his life.

He is a lovable dog who has a few medical considerations but is otherwise in good condition.
He has cloudy lenses in both eyes and severe dental tartar, as well as old, healing fly strikes on his ears.
Zorro also has some stiffness in his back legs and old scar tissue on the bases of both ears, along with a small skin nodule on his skull, likely from an old injury.

Behavioral Observations :1
Offer tasty food: Readily ate
Overall body posture: Upright, Relaxed/Flexible, Wiggly, Approaches readily
Ears: Neutral
Eyes: Soft eye gaze
Mouth: Lips long and soft
Fear-Anxiety-Stress level observed at intale: (1) Low FAS

Medical notes:
10/31/24 nasal discharge, Doxycycline 10 days
11/1/24 cough, continue Doxycycline
11/5/24 QAR, did not take medicine, LRS 500 ml sq sid for 3 days, change to Baytril x 10 days

Extremely Urgent Harbor Shelter Very Sweet Small Medical 16 year old Senior Dog “Jojo” #A1569187 Orange Alerted and In Need of Immediate Rescue!!

LONG TERM FOSTER NEEDED!
Jojo - 16 yrs old - 7 lbs - Neutered Male- Owner Surrender (San Pedro)- 06/05/24

Sadly this very sweet senior was brought into the shelter last week surrendered by his owner after having him for 16 years due to moving.
This gentle senior seems a bit confused about his new environment. Despite the loud shelter sounds he has been calm and friendly. It can be very hard for an animal to adjust in a stressful shelter environment especially for an animal that is vision impairment.
Despite Jojo’s vision impairment, he will allow petting all over his little body and he can be picked him up with no issues. He really does enjoy the attention and love.

Jojo needs out Immediately to get the much-needed medical attention he needs. Seniors don’t belong in the shelters, especially ones with major health concerns. Little Jojo would love nothing more than to live his last days in a loving home. Someone please come get this little guy 🩵(adoptable), or offer to foster 🙏🏼

Update! ZOEY HAS A FOSTER HOME THANK GOD🎉 This is a rugged post. What I do not want is cruelty or judgmental comments. I’ll block you.

What I hope, is we can do some good - make a dog and an elderly lady happy and whole - it is a difficult situation 🙏🏼💗🐾

Please meet Zoey, she’s an 11 year old, terrier mix, in good health. She has been fortunate to have been living a wonderful life since she was 8 weeks old! Her human adored her and her GSD sibling was a great buddy until his passing.

Unfortunately Zoey’s beloved mama is going into assisted living on April 30th and cannot take her into the facility with her. This reality has been devastating. We need to find sweet Zoey a home by Monday… otherwise she will be euthanized. 😭💔

Important things to know:
Zoey loves people of all ages.
Zoey can be around other dogs w/a proper introduction.
Zoey would do best as an ONLY dog.
Zoey has a lot of love to give 💗
Zoey enjoys walks🐾

You don’t have to worry about what to feed her for a long time either because her mama has lots to send to her new home.

Zoey is currently in Redondo Beach.

$This is #A2125944 “Snoopy” - a 13 month-old/17 lbs - Male Beagle puppy that is suffering extreme pain from multiple fractures in his pelvis. Snoopy came to the shelter as a stray on 02/18/24 and is believed to have been struck by a vehicle! Medical Notes and X-rays available upon request. Snoopy was sent to a private vet for radiographs and evaluation. Rads performed on 2/20/24: confirmed multiple pelvic fractures on the right side, possibly sparing the acetabulum concerned about possible nerve damage to the right rear leg. Radiograph consult with Dr. Reed: right coxofemoral joint possibly intact but fracture could be associated with sciatic nerve damage. Needs further evaluation. Snoopy is in the critical care medical room. He needs to see a private Veterinarian.
