Repentance is the first step to truly making Jesus our Savior. It’s not about moralism and rule-following, but about a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Let’s love, invite, and celebrate together.

"Sin isn't about breaking all the rules. It's about putting yourself above God." Kristin

I am so proud of my friend Kristin Burford! She just gave perhaps the best sermon I've ever heard on the Prodigal Son! Way to go my friend. God is good and He uses you well. Thanks for saying "yes Lord" to His call. God bless you 🙏

This is much of what it is to follow Jesus. In following Him, however, there will be times when we are called out of our comfort zones - out of the "Kingdom of Me".

On Sunday, Kristin posed this question:
Are you living in the "Kingdom of Me"?

Living in the "Kingdom of Me" is where we naturally want to live - to serve our own needs, do what makes us happy, focus on our own issues. Jesus invites us to leave our own Kingdom and come be a part of His.

In Jesus's Kingdom, He is your king rather than yourself. He is at the center of everything that you do. The longer you stay, the more you will start to see the world - and other people - as Jesus would see them.

This opens our eyes and encourages us to leave our comfort zones in the service and love of others.

Following Jesus may require you to leave your comfort zone from time to time in order to love and serve.
