But also, Blue Water Retreat @bwr.eua also has an oceanfront yoga deck that we will be on each evening. 🧘‍♀️

As the sun sets we wind down with gentle yoga and sound healing before dinner (often interrupted by Humpback breaching seen from the deck!)

Bliss, right?

For us every week it’s National Science Week 🌊🔬 and we love to keep and Eye on the Reef 👁️

For the past four years, Mike Ball Dive Expeditions has been part of the Tourism Reef Protection Initiative since December 2022, turning time spent on the Great Barrier Reef into something much bigger than just diving.

Day after day, our crews have been out there monitoring reef health, collecting data, photographing change, controlling coral predators and keeping a close eye on the places we visit and we love.

And the numbers tell part of the story:

🔬 1974 Reef Health & Impact Surveys
📸 53photo point transects 4422 photos
🦀 50 crown-of-thorns starfish removed
🐚 4,864 Drupella snails removed
📊 418 Tourism Weekly surveys

But the biggest win isn’t any single number. It’s having people who work on the reef every day contributing to its long-term protection and helping build a much better picture of how it is changing.

Tourism, science and conservation don’t have to exist separately. When they work together, every trip can become an opportunity to learn, monitor and protect.

This National Science Week, we’re celebrating four years of putting science into action on the Great Barrier Reef — and everyone who has been part of it. 💙

When one of your best mates is playing indoor soccer “football” on her birthday (3rd June), how do you celebrate? You print out 3D heads of her funnies faces you could find online, make a cardboard cutout for each, get some annoying party blowers, round up some available friends and be the surprise cheer squad for the game! They won!!!
Her prize (even if they didn’t win) was a watercolour crayfish and a pair of cray horn earrings 😊🥳🎁
This lady is one of a kind a worth celebrating every day! 😘🦞
Paolo can’t eat crayfish so Selva and I share 😅👏

Playing with some watercolours today.
A friend of mine and fellow launch master; Hank Schroor was stranded on Fanning Island for nearly two months after their plane had troubles so they had to wait for the next ship to come past… heck of a fly fishing trip.
This painting is for him to commemorate the Experiance.

$I still can’t believe a shark lover such as my friend @paolobonvini11 took until recently to see his first ever #leopardshark born with stripes #zebrashark I hope you enjoy seeing a sneak peak into the process of this piece.
