As I start my last week I look back… a decade ago, I walked into Boka @bokarestaurantgroup as a 19-year-old busser & host with one very clear goal: I wanted to run one of these restaurants someday.

Ten years later, I’m leaving having had the privilege of helping open 19 restaurants with them.

Boka became far more than a place I worked. It’s where I grew up, found my voice as a leader, and learned that hospitality isn’t really about reservations, it’s about building relationships.

I’m especially grateful to Rob Katz and @kevinboehmboka , who took a chance on me before I had proven much of anything. They challenged me, trusted me, pushed me, and gave me opportunities I never could have imagined.

And to the incredible people I’ve met along the way (there are simply to many to name) Thank you. This journey gave me some of my closest friends, biggest mentors, and important relationships that I know will last far beyond my time at Boka.

I feel blessed to have learned something from every kitchen, dining room, opening, late night, crazy service, and person I’ve had the privilege of standing beside.
The people are what made these ten years so special.

I came to Boka at 19 hoping to one day run one of its restaurants.

I’m leaving ten years later having helped open 19 of them.

That’s pretty damn special.

Boka will always be a part of who I am.

On to the next chapter. 🖤

So so so proud of this accomplishment and how much I’ve grown as a coach with @solidcore - I am continuously grateful for every human who’s supported me and helped me get to this point. And blesssssss my wonderful clients who keep witnessing my unhinged personality on a microphone. I love you all 🫶🏼✨

From the first day I tried @solidcore I knew I wanted to be a coach. At the time, I was 22 years old, hungry for change, and looking for a community to call home. When auditions came around, I was eager to shoot my shot; however, a glass shower door shattered on me causing me to get 28 stitches across my body. The recruiting team must’ve saw something in me that I didn’t yet see in myself and granted me an extension on my audition. After getting the job, I knew this passion was one I wanted to build.

Almost 3 years later, I am proud to say I am the newest Senior Master Coach at solidcore in LA. Without the incredible coaches, clients, training team, and HCCMs that guided and supported me, I can’t say I would’ve made it this far so quickly. I’m forever blessed for the way that my team went out of their way to create an inclusive and uplifting environment that allowed me to hone in on skills and grow such a beautiful community. I always say, being a coach at solidcore is not a job; it’s an honor, privilege, and an opportunity to learn and grow from the strongest individuals. I couldn’t be more thankful, and I’m excited to see where this new title takes me 💙💙💙
