I just received my new 'Bob 1' piece from @krk_ryden and I love it. This original DEVO-inspired mixed-media work is an acrylic painting/collage utilizing the tyvek fabric from the hazmat-style yellow suits worn by the band in concert.

Ryden previously made similar versions of late drummer Alan Myers, Mark Mothersbaugh, and Gerald Casale.

Very excited to own this one. Plus, it arrived lightning fast with a free CD and this ILL-ustration on the packaging.

Thanks KRK!

I just purchased a really cool original piece of DEVO-inspired art from @krk_ryden yesterday. The subject of the mixed-media painting/collage is guitarist "Bob 1" and incorporates some of the actual material from the yellow hazmat-style suits they're famous for wearing.

When I first saw Ryden post the work in progress, it reminded me how I never posted this photo of Bob 1 that I took at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle back in 2023.

We're hoping to catch DEVO again soon on one of their upcoming shows touring with @theb52sband

@krk_ryden’s “Collector’s Shangri-LA” is a love letter to the nostalgic and the beautifully obsessed. It was dreamed up at Baby Tattooville, where magic tends to spill right onto the canvas. This print is like stepping into a shop where every object has a story (and maybe a secret or two).

Huge shoutout to @kevinsegall, the real-life proprietor behind Collector’s Shangri-La, a treasure trove of autographs and pop culture relics that feels like it might exist just slightly outside of time.

Want more of KRK’s delightful brain-bending brilliance? Head over to KRKland.com and pick up his book Double Talk, a clever collection of homographs that twist your tongue and tickle your neurons.
