Meet Kyle. 💙

Kyle is more than just a character in In Ms. Monet’s Class—he’s a tribute to someone who will always have a special place in my heart: my late brother.

As this series grows, you’ll get to know Kyle’s joyful spirit, kind heart, playful personality, and the way he lights up every room. Those qualities are inspired by my brother and the beautiful memories he left behind. Creating Kyle has been my way of keeping a part of him alive for a new generation of young readers.

I hope children fall in love with Kyle just as much as I loved the person who inspired him. ❤️

📚 In Ms. Monet’s Class: The First Day of School releases August 8, 2026 (8.8.26). I can’t wait to introduce you to Kyle and all of his classmates!

Hard to believe this journey began with nothing but a simple concept and the nerve to try. It taught me something I’ll never forget, you don’t need everything to begin. You just need the courage to take the first step.
Start where you are. That’s how something real gets built.

We had the opportunity to support our alumni @krowndkingdment at their “Nevertheless Experience”, a space rooted in reflection, honesty, and growth. Our mentees were able to engage in meaningful conversation, ask thoughtful questions, and share their perspectives alongside the author Talita Jones, whose words and presence created space for vulnerability, insight, and real dialogue inspired by her book “Nevertheless”

Talita’s willingness to share her journey and speak with intention reminded everyone in the room of the power of storytelling and resilience. For those interested in diving deeper, Nevertheless is available on Amazon.

Moments like these show our mentees what it looks like to learn from those who came before them, feel seen in their experiences, and grow within a community that truly supports them.💚

Just wanted to drop this here and say I appreciate everyone who’s been rocking with this project so far. The messages, the shares, the support, all of it means more than you know.

This film is really about bringing people into the process and letting folks see what goes into creating something from the ground up. It’s giving people a chance to be part of it, learn, and create together.
We’re still moving and building, and I’m excited about what’s coming next.

If you’ve been supporting already, thank you. If you haven’t yet, feel free to tap in, share, or spread the word.

More to come. Much love 🎬🖤

The energy.
The stories.
The moments in between.
A look back at The Nevertheless Experience — where resilience met community and growth took center stage. From signed pages to shared conversations, this was a reminder that standing firm looks different at every stage.
Still standing.
Still becoming.
Nevertheless.
