A pre-planned rats team party ended up being a celebration party as well-let’s just say most of us were not expecting the win yesterday 🤣

We made some rat soup and ate some spicy beans, and to the surprise of no one jammers are made different! 🔥

Also-I am wearing a birthday hat (thanks Zoe) but technically my birthday was yesterday. But I will never turn down a silly hat!!

The inaugural season of the Boneyard Bats ended in a hard-fought loss to the Street Rats — handing the Bats their first loss ever, and the Rats their first title!

Season 2 of my talk show is up now on Youtube! https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiWflmeBmu9iMRO0QbIOnsTHTpVp0T3u6&feature=shared

For those who don't know, this is a little passion project of mine that spawned out of an interest in learning more about the inspiring skaters in our broader skate community (derby, dance and park) and creating a platform to share their stories and messages.

I'm not a professional by any means, and I'm still learning by doing (audio is my arch nemesis, along with other technical issues) - but I'm so grateful for each and every single one of my guests for trusting me with their story!

My hope is that you give some of these a listen, I feel like I've learned something or been inspired by each of these skaters - and I hope that you feel the same way!

Episode 1 - Zweck, roller derby skater and head coach of Ottawa Valley Roller Derby, Toronto Men's Roller Derby and 2025 Team Canada dev. skater
Episode 2 - Drunky Brewster, roller derby skater with OVRD, and one of the OGs of roller derby in Ottawa
Episode 3 - Shots/Stephy Salazar - life-long dance rollerskater, including high level competitive, roller derby with Hogtown Roller Derby in Toronto and park skating. Offers roller skating lessons!
Episode 4 - Christina, Toronto park skater self-taught, hard working and skilled!
Episode 5 - Freight Train, life long jam skater and roller derby skater with Angel City, Austin Anarchy, and gold medalist for Team USA at the 2025 Roller Derby World Cup - travelling derby and skating coach
Episode 6 - They Them Mayhem - derby skater with OVRD and referee
Episode 7 - Harding - derby skater with OVRD, TMRD, rostered skater for Team Canada 2025
Episode 8 - Gloria Guns - derby skater with OVRD, ORD, rostered skater for Team Korea 2025
Episode 9 - Mange derby skater with Montreal New Skids on the Block, and 2025 Team Canada, Shear-Ra Powers, skater with Arch Rival, and USA gold medalist with Team USA

Thank you so much Ceecee for bringing the Feels to Feels on Wheels! Great interviews come from great guests and so far I feel like I’ve been so blessed, batting 100! (Or something-you know, sports)

Also professional documentarian Brian made a brief appearance-filming behind the scenes and then I invited him to be in the scene, it was all very meta! lol. @brianmellersh

Another year, another @ottawabluesfest season. This year I was able to go to 3 of the nights and all I can say is "Wowza!"

Three totally different nights and three totally different experiences. Childhood me was super happy to cross @greenday and @duttypaul off of my musical bucket list.

Despite the chaos in the pit @paparoach was my absolute favourite of the shows. Nu Metal owns the biggest part of my musical heart 🖤🤘
