Each thread of hair is a memory of me I snipped them all, leaving only an empty shell. I stand before you like a mirror, and you stand before me. Two years ago I made this fashion choreography film, responding to my quest and questions towards realness. It was built on Lacanโ€™s psychoanalysis and ZฬŒizฬŒekโ€™s film theory โ€˜The Fright of Real Tearsโ€™. Named the piece: The Heart Has Its Resaons That Reason Knows Nothing Of. Written, directed, produced and edited by me, it is a piece that still closes with how I think and move as an artist. It holds many of the instincts that continue to shape my direction practice, along with some of my favourite shots & camera movements to this day. Director: @still.ur.gi Producer: @still.ur.gi Art Direction: @still.ur.gi DOP: @maps_hou First gaffer: Kuan Wang Styling: @kryptfet Hair&Makeup: Joy Zhou @flat_face_pet Choreography artist: @alemusaa Music: @holly_herndon Full video soon.
