Some places are famous because of their history. Others become unforgettable because of the people you meet there.

Donald Ross once said,

“A country which gets golf-minded need not worry about the honor, the integrity and the honesty of its people.”

After spending the past week in @pinehurstresort , I think I understand what he meant.

We came to experience one of golf’s most historic places. We left with something much more valuable.

Throughout the week we spent time with collegiate coaches, junior golfers, parents and friends who all share a passion for the game. We celebrated the Fourth of July together, played the legendary No. 2 (which has a way of humbling every golfer), and finished one evening walking barefoot around The Cradle—a reminder that golf is also meant to be fun.

Walking through Pinehurst, you feel the history everywhere. But what stood out most wasn’t the courses or the trophies.

It was the people.

Before leaving, we received a message that I’ll never forget:

“This week reminded me how important great people are. I left feeling supported, welcomed, and smiling again.”

Those words meant more than any scorecard.

Pinehurst may be known as the Cradle of American Golf.

But I’ll remember it as a place where friendships grow, memories are made, and the game reminds us what really matters.

That’s the kind of golf I hope we continue to build.

As I graduate from the University of Houston, I just want to take a moment to say how grateful I am for the past four years. This journey has given me incredible memories, lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and opportunities that have shaped me both as a person and as an athlete.

A special thank you to Lydia for all your support, guidance, and belief in me throughout my time at Houston. Thank you for always pushing me to grow, challenging me to be my best, and helping me become the player and person I am today. Your impact on my journey means more than words can express.

And thank you to Cabe for all your support and encouragement this past year. I’m grateful I got the chance to work with you during my final season at Houston.

Looking back, I feel nothing but gratitude and pride for everything this chapter has given me. While it’s hard to say goodbye, I’m excited for what’s next and will always carry a piece of Houston with me.

Once a Cougar, always a Cougar. ❤️🐾

An incredible trip to @pinehurstresort comes to an end. Thank you @coddo18 for inviting me to play The Page Member-Guest. We rocked it!!! Taking home the coveted “Laddie Boy” trophy for winning the low net in flight 1. So special getting to play course No 2 as well as 5 and 7. Pinehurst is a bucket-list must for any golfer!
Can’t wait to be back!
