*Recap* of “Surveillance“ 👾Audio-Visual Touch Designer Performance with Gabriel Corredor Aristizábal, Ehsan Azali, Hyeyun Lee und Ksenia Sova/ Ex-Café HGB during (Un)Learning Digitalities Closing Programme, Friday July 3, 2026

As government introduces AI systems to observe people in public spaces, artists from HGB decided to talk about surveillance practices and make them visible. Live recognition of the visitors is accompanied by short essays recorded with the help of open source facial recognition software. All processing in this installation happened locally and no live footage is recorded or stored. But don’t be fooled: it will not be the case for the actual surveillance systems you can encounter on the streets right now. 📸 Meghan Smith
