Looking for inspiration? Read Karen Lyons story about finishing the Abbott World Marathon Majors. "What kind of maniac runs 26 miles ON PURPOSE? It seemed beyond insane.... So, like the beginning of all good running stories: I decided to just put one foot in front of the other and keep going." After learning that her seccond child was born with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome. Karen began her 10-year journey to become the first woman is New Hampshire to finish the Abbott World Marathom Majors.

It’s no coincidence that we do our extra long combat class right at Thanksgiving. I know we joke that it makes room for more turkey but really it gives us an extra half an hour to stare out at the crowd and soak in how thankful we are for you all. You all bring something different and special to class it and wouldn’t be the same without you. Combat has changed me and I know it’s changed so many of you. For that I’m THANKFUL. #ionlyhavethighsforyou

What can I say about running other than I love it. The sound of my footfalls and breath. The quieting of my mind. The mental and physical challenge of a long run. I get to run, and I love it. It’s also been an outlet and a way for me to get past the death of my mother - and use my legs for good. •
@biscuiterie tagged me (thanks, friend! 😘) to answer the questions below about running. Wanna play, too? Yay! If you’re tagged (and even if you’re not! Why can I only tag 20 people?!), post one of your favorite photos of yourself running, and then answer these questions. And tag me so I can see! 🙌🏼

So many long training runs taking place for our fall races. Are you training for @berlinmarathon @chimarathon or @nycmarathon? Let us know by tagging us so we can cheer you on. Nice job @kshortill!! 🙌 Repost from @kshortill We invented a very effective training technique today for our long run... it's a little game we call, "Race the Babysitter!" in which you frantically increase your pace because you only have so many hours to finish your run before the babysitter has to leave 😂 #momswhorun #motherrunner #marathontraining #marathon #longrun #marinecorpsmarathon #tokyomarathon #abbottwmm #noexcuses #justrun
