The midwifery model of care recognizes the uniqueness of each individual and community. It not only strives for equal but equitable solutions. Equity-based solutions take into account diverse lived experiences, consider personal circumstances, cultural and community values and needs and then allocate the exact resources and opportunities needed to achieve an equal as well as equitable outcome. Giving everyone the same resources does not foster equity. Individuals & communities all need custom crafted plans and resources to be successful and healthy. It is through equity & adapting services and policies according to these differences that we can change systemic and structural obstacles that interfere with people's ability to thrive.
Collectively let’s all #embraceequity #donate #support #linkinbio

We couldn’t be more amazed by the incredible accomplishments of this young TACC member, entrepreneur/business owner, and now MOVIE DIRECTOR! 🎬

Karm-Syndia recently rolled out the red carpet at The Strand Theater in Boston at her movie premier for “A Heart On The Mend” and the TACC was there to represent! She even pulled in dancers from her studio, KS Dance Studio, and sang the movie’s theme song! 🎤

She’s a true testament of when you dream big, incredible things can happen! Congrats Karm! 🍾

YOU really came through for us last year. Last year, thanks to your generosity, we raised over $13,000 which was 87% of our $15,000 goal.
So far we have raised $1,654 which is 11% of our $15,000 goal. It is not too late. Please help us reach our goal of $15,000 by 8pm tonight.
Haiti is facing a public health crisis (COVID-19) amidst an already difficult economic and political atmosphere. August 14th marked the one year anniversary of the horrific earthquake in Haiti. Thanks to supporters like you, we were able to continue to carry out our regular programming as well as swiftly respond to the midwives and the families they serve that were affected.
Help us continue to provide a “community-led and community- based” approach which also relies on in-country based partnerships and relationships. Midwives, as frontline workers, are in an optimal position to provide culturally sensitive, evidence-based midwifery model of care (education, family planning, GBV survivor care, maternity, breastfeeding and newborn care).
Accessibility to reliable, competent and compassionate general health and sexual and reproductive health care is a constant no matter what issues a country is facing. FAHM is dedicated to continuing our programs, adapting and adjusting as needed, to meet their requested support.
It is not too late. Contribute today!

Stand with FAHM by investing in Haitian midwives: “Standing with Haitian Midwives for a stronger Haiti (Kore Saj Fanm Ayisyen pou Ayiti pi djanm)”

Imagine a world where midwives were recognized for what they are: a pathway to achieving Sustainable Development Goals: sdgs.un.org/goals. Investing in Haitian midwives strengthens primary healthcare. Women need midwives for their health and wellbeing.
Standing with Haitian midwives = standing for high-quality, culturally relevant healthcare.
Just a few days left! You can make a difference by sharing this post with your friends, peers and network. Please help us reach our $2,000 goal by May 15th. We can’t thank you enough for your support.#pushformidwives #midwivesrock #haïti
