Happy Sunday! Feeling ever so slightly hungover today after a fab long awaited night out last night. 🤢 I don’t do it often but when I do..it’s go hard or go home! 😂

I’ve a lazy day which has given me the chance to work on a reel. (Again, long awaited) And yes, it’s taken me most of the day, and yes it’s still nothing fancy, just me faffing around in a bit of preloved. 😂

Oh and I know loads of you will ask about these leopard print jeans, they are actually kids ones from Next a while back and have been one of the hardest working pieces in my wardrobe. That’s the thing with neutrals they go with everything!

Hello lovely people

I have NEWS…

After much deliberation about why I taken my foot of the gas when it comes to posting / I came to the realisation that it was down to a couple of things-

a) so many people are saying the same thing over & over alongside a whole lot of conflicting info that has confused me & as a result I stopped posting because I didn’t want to pass that confusion on

C) me having a moment where I feel like a snake that needs to shed its skin

so

I’ve decided to change my insta name … a little bit

It feels like the perfect transition

I’m not ditching meandmyhrt - it’s the same but different, my page will stay- just a name change / it’s been fundamental & such a big part of my life for 5 years, sharing all I was learning when I first stumbled into the world of perimenopause & then my journey once I started HRT & it serves as amazing reminder (& for anyone that is new to this space I hope I’m still worthy of a signpost to help them scroll back and learn the basics)

But feel like I have so much to say about midlife - the highs, lows & everything Inbetween & often wonder if it’s relevant because my page is mainly HRT based

I will still share things around HRT, peri/ menopause & my experiences as they happen (like issues with dud batches of progesterone !!!) or anything that hasn’t been told 50 times over by someone else

The ‘& a whole lot more’ will be how I see midlife & how it’s affecting me & no doubt you too

👉The ageing parent battle that evokes every single emotion in your body & means the tournament is reel

👉The empty nest syndrome, which my friends, is not easing (31 and 23 I know !)

👉The buckets list of travel destinations I’m determined to tick off & want to share

👉The love for clothes & make up but the niggle that makes me question my choices

👉The feeling of being lost & not quite sure where we fit in that periodically seems to reappear & rock the boat

So stick with me

sometimes midlife is amazing but sometimes it’s a shit show & hitting 50’s & beyond can feel like a tough one at times

So here’s to 2026 & reinvention

What happened when I, a Professional Organiser, hired a Stylist to sort out my own wardrobe?

Well, first things first… my wardrobe is pretty organised (shock). I genuinely didn’t think I’d be getting rid of much. I’m good at filtering out things I don’t wear or don’t feel good in, and I was convinced most of what I owned was still working for me.

But I also knew I’d hit a wall with my style.
Jeans + jumpers = my personality.
I love being warm. I love being comfy. And honestly? I could start a support group for people addicted to knitwear.

So I thought I needed a little “style glam-up,” not a clear-out.
But what actually happened?

Enter the lovely Kelly. She’s warm, fun, honest and we got on brilliantly. And this is where she came into her own…

There I was thinking everything in my wardrobe was still “cool”. Sure, some pieces were school run staples, but the rest? I genuinely thought I’d wear them again one day.

Reality check:
A lot of those clothes I loved 15 years ago have… dated. And even if I did get an occasion to wear them, I’d probably buy something more modern anyway.

So what did I come away with?

✨ So much more space in my wardrobe
🛍️ Three IKEA bags of clothes ready for Vinted
💛 One large bag for the charity shop
🪩 One bag for textile recycling
👚 And confirmation that my wardrobe is actually pretty decent, I just need a couple of updates (a modern blazer, a pop of red and kitten heels apparently!) to bring everything together.

So here I come… the pub won’t know what’s hit it when I turn up in my glammed up Mum clothes!

Would I recommend Kelly?
Absolutely. 100%.
Whether you’re organised, disorganised, or somewhere in between, she brings a completely fresh, honest eye and it makes ALL the difference.
