Art is always the best destination. A fascinating afternoon spent inside the creative world of Heemin Chung (@heemintheactivated) in Seoul. Her work beautifully bridges the digital and the physical, taking images sourced online, transforming them via 3D modeling, and layering them into these textured, glowing landscapes of gel and pigment. Seeing the physical presence and depth of these pieces in person is an entirely different experience. Thank you, Heemin, for welcoming us into your space. And thank you @thaddaeusropac @sarrustin @hjae_ch for making it happen with our impossible schedule during Seoul Art Week.

“The concept of home follows wherever I go. Like a ghost.” Home isn’t a fixed address. It is something we carry with us. Moving is so much more than changing your coordinates; it is about the spaces you leave a piece of yourself in. Wandering through Do Ho Suh’s massive retrospective at @mmcakorea felt like moving through a dreamscape of memories. Seeing his full-scale, translucent fabric architectures up close feels beautifully fragile—like catching a hazy, glowing snapshot of the past. Breathtaking reflection on cultural displacement, migration, and what it truly means to belong anywhere in the world. @dohosuhstudio at MMCA Seoul, on view through 9 February 2027.

A big thank you to Gafencu Magazine for the honor and gift of letting me play, speak and — argh!! try to look straight into a camera without flinching. I want to share the last photo captured on this day. I’m sitting on the floor, and there are five minutes before we must exit a location. So, why not dump out the contents of my bag and just share? Countless scrapbooking pieces pour out, loose necklaces we have upcycled from bead boxes, a turquoise cameo I have a plot for, a vintage lighter belonging to my grandpa, they all emerge in no particular order. We look forward to you showing us what’s in your jewellery box - or bag 😆. Girls! On this bag named Pinky: it is a refurbishment art commission by Ms. Maya Yurkova. The design challenge: take a water-stained vintage 90s? Fendi Bag that got injured in a storage box during a typhoon in 2023 — now transform that bag into its own proud upcycled, practical, awesome piece. Maya took a shopping bag from our boutique and made a stencil out of our logo. Using bright pink acrylic, she somehow playfully worked it in with each stitched Fendi F. The butterfly charm and a chain were constructed by safety pins and leftover beads used to accent this favorite leftover of mine. No, we don’t make handbags @ksszesons — but this is a great example of the spirit of our bespoke creativity. And the whimsy I understand to be my own. I can’t really fit it in a box. And perhaps never should. @archieisred @gafencu_magazine Slide 3, the stencil by @archieisred pinned to my wall under a stack of unsent love letters I found in the same box. 🤷🏻‍♀️ song dedication to good advice recording made by Sophia and Adam. Thank you @hairbyannakay and @smudgemakeupartistry for dealing with me all day. @seffmusa and team, you are gems.
