What a season. ✨

As we wrap up the 61st season of Western Piedmont Symphony, we’re feeling so grateful for everyone who helped make the music happen - our musicians, guest artists, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and patrons.

Here are just a few of the people behind the scenes and on stage who made this season possible. Thank you for joining us on this musical journey under the vision of Music Director Matthew Troy. We can’t wait to share what’s next. 🎻🖤

Catawba County was well represented for Arts Day 2026! Our delegation shared stories with our legislators of how their organizations are providing creative opportunities for our community and discussed issues that are impacting our industry. Thanks to @artsnorthcarolina for leading this statewide advocacy effort and to @ncartscouncil and the @nc.dncr for all you provide to our creative sector!

A standing ovation for the team behind the music at today’s Youth Orchestras Spring Concert 🎻👏

We want to share a very special thank you to our guest artists from Masterworks: Grant Us Peace, soprano Janinah Burnett and baritone Michael Adams.

What they brought to Dona nobis pacem was deeply moving. Hearing voices of that caliber, with that kind of honesty and power, right here in our own community is something we don’t take for granted.

We are incredibly grateful they shared their artistry with us in Hickory. It was a gift to everyone in the room. ❤️🎶✨

So grateful for everyone who supports Western Piedmont Symphony and keeps live music thriving in our community. Masterworks: Italian Inspirations was full of talent, connection, and beautiful moments. Thanks to @ashleyhalltighe for sharing the stage with us, and to each of you who showed up, listened, and cheered the music on.

What a joy to be around these sweet, funny, dear creatures. Worth every moment, rain or shine (or ice!). Thank you @crookedcreekhighlands for the perfect Highlands (Scottish) weather winter visit with Bubba, Saint, Tinsel, Cotton Candy, Aberdeen, Loretta, and the Golden Girls. 🐮🐐🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💙

Just a little Piedmont Triad music reunion. Great to host @marthabassettshow and her Quinteto Brasil band at @wpsymphony Crossroads Concert.

Leaving the good memories here. ( with your Starman at a Blind Pig Supper; channeling Andy Warhol with Sam; eating the best cheese in Grafton, VT ;us at Christmas 2017) 💜

Five years ago, you left us for that next journey in the cosmos. John Jones, you are still dearly missed by your loved ones, friends, family.

Food doesn't taste the same since you left.
